If we go 7-5 or worse

Should Diaz be fired if Miami finishes 7-5 or worse?

What a surprise that a treasonous scum poster who supports the Northern Vietnamese Army in their screen name would be posting this communist bull****.

**** off Charlie!!!
LMAO. Man I tried to change it but CIS mods weren’t having it. ******* commies

One week at a time. Win the next two and develop the youngsters. Every season is a marathon not a 100m dash.

Just answer the **** question! Lol

No coach should be fired after 1 year unless there’s an off field type issue. Even 2 years is pushing it.

Manny will be given time to see this through, as he should. We’re all upset about 0-2 and rightfully so. There’s way more for Manny to fix than I think we realized. Most thought, fix the offense and were getting #6. I’m actually quite optimistic about the offense going forward after seeing the progress Jarren made from week 1 to 2. Enos still has some kinks to work out and there will be growing pains but we’re going to be good on offense.

Baker had a good game plan against UF but looked like **** against UNC. Manny needs to be in his boy’s ear all season to not let another dud happen again.

This team is still very very young and will need to learn to win. Manny may be the guy and he may not but to judge him off this team after 1 year to the point of bringing up firing is disingenuous.

Lol at Manny getting 4 years if continues to prove himself a corch. I think he survives this year but will likely be gone after another year if our record sucks. The stadium is going to be half empty next week so just imagine what happens when we finish bowl ineligible and drop out of the top twenty recruiting rankings.
It will be a ******* banner festival above HRS

Agreed

Goddamnit--you people saying "yes" suck. You would blow up this program AGAIN because you don't like the performance of a first year head coach? As if we haven't been through enough rebuilds in the last two decades. Short-term-memoried mutha's.

**** man, we aren't talking about 0-2 Pruit from Tennessee. That dude deserves to be fired. We're talking two close losses to quality opponents. Sit the **** back and calm down about this firing coach garbage.
What is there to "blow up" ??? What on this team is so precious that it cannot be risked? Please tell me, because I'll be damned if I see anything about what we have on the field that is the least bit special.

The fact that you are even asking that question tells me all I need to know. You are either:

1.) A troll,
2.) Were absent in the reoccurring rebuild every 4 years or so of the last 2 decades,
3.) Have no clue how a relevant college football team is built.

“Precious”? What are you even talking about? Do you know the toll taken on a team of hiring a new coach, their coordinators, implementing their culture, their schemes, their philosophies? Do you even know what that does to a program? Have you ever played on a football team?

This is all before the transfer portal made it easier for kids to jump ship. Look at Tennessee. Lost 2 games to ****-tier opponents and they are losing recruits and current players left and right. If we had a coaching problem and a loss of confidence in the locker room we’d probably see that reflected in the portal.

Fans with the same mentality as you need to get their perspectives straight. We lost the first two games by less than 4 points each, away from home, under new HC, new OC (+staff), new DC, new QB, new OLs, new playbook all to quality opponents. Had we been blown out and looking completely out of shape and unprepared—sure I’d give you a nod to be upset but that wasn’t the case. One or two plays, one or two field goals, one or two penalties that go our way and we’d be 2-0 right now.

This Gratification-Now mentality needs to end. It is rare to have a coach come in, install and assert himself as a head coach and immediately become a contender.

So what’s Manny's Fire-able offense after two games? Name it? Be specific. Hard mode: not winning first two games isn’t an offense.

He should be fired for that kind of result but Firing a head coach after one season would effectively be the end of our cfb program... recruits already see too much turnover in our program unless we hired Urban Meyer or another splash hire the next day it’s RIP to the U for another 10 years.

Nick Saban wasn't fired after losing to ULM. It takes at least a little time. Is Diaz the answer? We won't know unless we give him some time. I'll mock his bad decisions, and trash him when we lose, but I won't be begging for his firing until the wheels are obviously falling off. We are nowhere close to that.

I'm not really sure why threads like this one with a lot of the comments surprise me anymore. I'm also unsure as to why I comment as infrequently as I do.

There sure are a lot of idiots here these days.

+1

Flake and Funk should be replaced before turning attention to Manny
THIS! One is destroying the Athletic Department and the other is destroying the school’s academic standing and national reputation. Plus, he has zero interest in anything to do with athletics, leaving it all up to this joke of an AD.
This school is such a Mickey Mouse operation on so many levels. You thought Shalala was bad, but this school is going downhill like a runaway 18 wheeler.
