The only, and I mean ONLY reason his teams are any good at all is because of the recruiting and coaching of his DC. The day Sitake leaves Wittingham is the day you can start the countdown on Wittingham getting fired.

In other words, make Gary Pinkel tell you no. Look at dudes like Mark Dantonio our Todd Graham or Rich Rodriguez.

Enough of these hotshot coordinators or Folden types. Find a proven football coach who has accomplished things of significance.

All this hand-wringing over recruiting is retarded. If you're a winner you will recruit here. Anyone can recruit here if they are good football coaches who put a good product on the field.

It's Whittingham's defense at Utah ... He was their DC before he became HC.

And I agree with winning being a significant impact on recruiting ... It's well known that Gus Malzhan is an odd guy. UM sells itself ... Especially with continued investment in the program and facilities.

havent heard his name tossed around here but -- Doc holliday anyone? not a **** name, but the man can flat out coach and recruit. plus has experience and knowledge of how to recruit florida

looked up Rich Rod base salary just because someone mentioned him and it's only 1.5 mill this year... soooooo relatively cheap and easy to motivate him to leave for money. I think Golden gets paid like 2.5+
 
I think Patterson or Gundy would be morons to not consider the job at 3M a year. Put in some incentives to get them to 4M with Coastal bonus, playoff bonus and bowl win bonus.

They are never going to win a National Championship at their schools now. They would win the Coastal every ****img year and clean up S Fl talent.

It's mind boggling that we couldnt get one of these guys. I would be shocked if they wouldn't listen or consider.

Getting Patterson would be a dream. So would the school paying 3-4M a year on a coach.

Gundys not worth it though. And it would prob be too expensive to pull him away from T Boone Pickens.
 
These guys are seasoned coaches that have made tons of money. At this point, I think they would be crazy to not take a little less money to have a realistic opportunity to win titles. They would have better players as well.

I think we could pretty much take who we want (besides a coach that has a NC already) if we threw 3M on the table. Maybe I'm just to naive.

**** this sucks!!
