If Manny fires the DC can he stay?

I believe this is the highest likelihood scenario left.

We win out or drop 1 and he quietly hires a DC in the off-season. This was the cryptic we will put money in to support the team but Manny is the coach.

Sorry boys I call it like I see it. Right now I see it. I don't like it but I see it.
This is exactly how I see it playing out. Some BS narrative around TVD’s and other freshmen development, injuries, and second half of the season performance.

Manny stays but they force him to revamp the defense by hiring a DC. They give him next year to prove it. And he will fall flat out on his face again.

If they win the next 3 games, yes. Unless they have the opportunity and coin to hire Urban. Since they haven't fired Blake (which they should have done over a month ago), the new AD will need time to get acclimated and know who would be a good fit.

Call it excuses or whatever you want, but from an objective point of view, how many coaches get fired on a 6 game winning streak after losing their starting QB and starting RB?

And don't tell my you think TVD should have been starting immediately against Bama. Over half this board was stating Garcia should be given the job over TVD when King went down simply because he looked better in a spring game.

With USC and LSU going after coaches as well, it is not fair to ask a new AD to come in and within a week, hire a new coach. Frankly, I don't want to see the Canes be made to look like a fool - similar to what occurred to Tennessee a few years ago when they were publicly rejected by multiple coaches and hired a guy they had to immediately let go due to fan reaction.
