If Manny fires the DC can he stay?

I think the last 3 weeks have been enough to save his job. No bullsh!t.

Even if he loses another game, if it's close the perception will be that this is a young team on the brink of greatness. Just watch. He has a built-in excuse with all of the youth on the field right now.

Best case scenario (for the anti Manny crowd) is that they force him to hire a new DC and Manny remains in the CEO\HC role.

They're not gonna send a whole staff packing if we're scoring 35 points per game. Win or lose, the product on the field right now is fun to watch and people currently have hope. I even got that feeling while being at the game Saturday.

A stud QB and high powered offense can change the entire perception of a program.
Please don’t say that coach! Man I’m scared to death

I believe this is the highest likelihood scenario left.

We win out or drop 1 and he quietly hires a DC in the off-season. This was the cryptic we will put money in to support the team but Manny is the coach.

Sorry boys I call it like I see it. Right now I see it. I don't like it but I see it.
Does he hire a DC and let him run a different scheme??
Or does he hire a DC to run Manny's scheme??
I think unfortunately I don't think his ego will let his scheme go.

I think Manny should be fired but knowing just how lazy the administration is I think they won't.
What I think probably happens is they fire Blake...hire a new AD and punt on firing Manny for a year. The new AD would deal with Manny next year. Hope I'm wrong but I just don't see this lazy asss administration pulling off a new AD and a new HC the same year. Just too much work for them. This 3 game win streak gave them the cover they need to punt on Manny for a year.

I actually think he planned on hiring a DC last off season but when he couldn't get the guy he wanted he thought the next best thing was hiring Shoop with the intention of making him DC in 2022 because Shoop can't be an on field coach this year. So he bit the bullet and took back DC duties for this year. I don't think he planned on being DC again for more than this year. I could be wrong but it does make the most sense.

Assuming that the above is the plan I would hope that Shoop would be given complete autonomy as DC. This is assuming of course that Diaz wins out and gets a reprieve.

I personally feel that a change in HC could be very beneficial to this program assuming of course that we made the right hire and that the hire we make keeps the Air Raid offensive identity that we have developed into. I don't want someone coming in and ripping out the type of offense we have seen in the last few TVD starts and trying to force a power run identity on us. Basically I agree with @Liberty City El on this. We need to go full on Air Raid. That's what we are. It's our identity as an offense. As far as Manny goes I feel that he has proven that this job is a bit over his head. There are just too many red flags at this point.

The DC is on staff with Shoop

The question is who gets let go since we would have too many on field coaches

Rumor TRob wants to get out so that would make DVD CB coach, Artside safety coach/striker or some combo of the two there or Shoop would double as safety coach since that’s what he’s known for.

Patke would be let go and replaced god willing

I know nothing about defense but it seems strange that on so many passing plays we have a guy blitzing and he's not even at the line of scrimmage by the time the QB has the ball and is surveying the field.

A lot of you aren't going to like it, but we another bad loss. I already see where this is going. If Manny's kept this year TVD likely keeps him around next season as well, albeit with 3+ disappointing losses

I think the BOT will accept a CEO type HC. After all that is what Bama has. Now whether Manny can hire a Dave Aranda or Brent Venerable type DC remains to be seen. I am not sure he knows what a top level DC looks like.

No. This team is talented enough to beat anybody in the league and poorly coached enough to lose to anybody. It will remain that way until Manny is shown the door. Idc how this season ends, he has to go.
