If Manny fires the DC can he stay?

Well he's certainly given his detractors plenty of ammunition - just look at the product, particularly the defense. The defensive numbers are REALLY ugly. It's been mentioned that FSU is a key matchup for many reasons, not the least of which includes Diaz's future. It's almost like he's tiptoeing through a minefield since the UVA loss. A loss this week could be a fatal misstep. Win and stay alive should be his personal mantra.

*for me the ultimate outcome seems inevitable; why wait to do what eventually will be necessary?

If he's allowed to do that, it'll be pretty telling. How many coaching change ****ups does the guy get? He has already changed the defensive staff once and it didn't help at all. How can we trust that he'll get it right the third staff he puts in place? Seriously, what coach gets to change out a fired coordinator every year? An actual good coach would be making changes because his coaches were getting hired for better jobs, not because he's firing them to save himself.

The school just said it was gonna get serious about football. Status quo isn’t possible after that.

I was in my 20’s and said that I was going to marry Cindy Crawford. And gosh darn it I tried as hard as I could but alas……

Manny ain’t going nowhere. He wins 6 games and make a bowl game and Blake James will say we had a successful season. 😂😂😂

Nope.... DC issues are just symptoms.... this program is run like a middle school play. Amateur hour with a 300 miiion dollar budget.

When I was promoted to clean out and reorganize a division, I did. This was a business statement. If they don’t follow through, we can ignore all such statements as BS on face value going forward. ESPN would crucify UM next year if the record is mediocre. I say at minimum Blake goes and Manny is that guy the nee AD didn't pick. Not the AD’s guy. He is then a dead man walking 🚶‍♂️.

I believe this is the highest likelihood scenario left.

We win out or drop 1 and he quietly hires a DC in the off-season. This was the cryptic we will put money in to support the team but Manny is the coach.

Sorry boys I call it like I see it. Right now I see it. I don't like it but I see it.
Nope. He will hire another Baker clone.

I think the last 3 weeks have been enough to save his job. No bullsh!t.

Even if he loses another game, if it's close the perception will be that this is a young team on the brink of greatness. Just watch. He has a built-in excuse with all of the youth on the field right now.

Best case scenario (for the anti Manny crowd) is that they force him to hire a new DC and Manny remains in the CEO\HC role.

They're not gonna send a whole staff packing if we're scoring 35 points per game. Win or lose, the product on the field right now is fun to watch and people currently have hope. I even got that feeling while being at the game Saturday.

A stud QB and high powered offense can change the entire perception of a program.

honestly --- all manny needs to do is to ask ED who needs to be on the field and how to substitute correctly
