IF Emory Starts/Plays……

Big balls sometimes lead to big wins. We’ve had a lack of any balls for a while. Not that the team hasn’t played hard, but the Decision making, Play calling and QB play is in need. Wouldn’t mind playing Emory with some packages for Jacurri.

Emory is the safe bet but I think Jacurri gives you the best chance to win. He's not accurate as Emory but running QB's have hurt FSU all year. He won't look like he did last year. This OL is top notch and the offense around him is much improved over last year. I'd go with the BIG BALLS package of Flecther and Jacurri and win this game.

I just rewatched the Clemson game and learned two things. 1 Clemson played us how our offense would like to be played more man then zone. And 2 the players play harder for Emory I feel. Emory or Jacurri will give us the best chance to win. Just call the game with no handcuffs Dawson he can do it

This is why I feel better about Jacurri than Emory.
If they handcuff Emory, then he can only do so much. Handcuffing Jacurri might actually help him but he'll also hit big runs and have some playmaking when things aren't there. If you go Emory, it has to be wide open for us to have a chance

Play them both mix and match packages for them

I think they handcuffed Emory just bc it was a first start agaisnt a top 10 D. FSU is a good D but not on that level. Call the game the way u would with a guy u trust Dawson don’t play scared. Jacurri too call it the same way add in some rpo and read options and u may have something. And u know the boys will play harder for Emory or Jacurri
 
What is so difficult to understand. If Mario has not by this time stated that TVD is the guy, then fully expect Emory to start. Emory will start Saturday.

I just re-watched the Clemson highlights to see if my perception was skewed by recency bias. Emory has a quirky delivery, sort of “squats” into his throws a little (may lead to batted balls), but once he settled in he was on point and not the least bit daunted by a really talented defense. I know you can’t really compare like opponents, or at least doing so can create giant holes in arguments - but you can’t ignore what that same defense did to an experienced guy like Sam Hartman, for example.

Absolutely 100% should be our starter on Saturday as we all have been saying. Anything else is corching malpractice.

He still hasn't taken a single snap in a game this yr. If they were thinking of going w JB would have been ideal to give him some game action this yr before throwing him out there against FSU. Went really well for him last season against them

I don’t think he plays this year, just telling you that he’s been getting second team snaps.
 
I don't see a reason why anyone would doubt that Emory Williams couldn't have a nice game against FSU. QBs are made for these moments if they are a real one. If he's the guy...he'll be fine. He looked just fine versus Clemson and played well as the game went on.

Didn't Lance say he was pretty bad against Clemson when he did his in depth game review of Clemson? I have no doubt he'll grow into a solid QB just not sure he's ready to be the guy yet
