Considering the fact that players will sit out any game other than the playoffs, per their agents advice, who cares at this point its meaningless. We do well in the portal and recruiting. Winning or losing an insignificant bowl game does nothing going forward.

As always, non-CFP bowl game matchups are decided by pre-arranged conference affiliations and contracts.

There are no choices.

So ACC champ would have to be behind JMU and Tulane in the rankings or whoever else might win a conference title from the G5.

In reality if Duke maybe UVA wins the ACC they would not go it would be us as an at large unless they jumped them over a G5 Conf champ.

I saw The Cure back in 92 at the Orlando Arena on the Wish Tour. Incredible show! I had never seen them before and I came away very impressed. They sounded amazing and were very tight live which was something I wasn't expecting.

I remember the gator bragging all off season about their four game win streak and ****** bowl game win over some division 2 team. They had all that “momentum” going into this season. That worked out well for them.

Non playoff bowl games are just a chance to give your backups some live reps

Perhaps someone answered this later, but I went through the first page, and no one specifically said. Also, by the way, not sure everyone knows but ESPN has a division called ESPN events which actually outright owns about 17 bowl games including some with acc tie ina

Lastly, I know people talk about the pop tarts game but actually I’d rather go to a bowl game that people pay attention to and gets a lot of social media hits just win the **** thing if you’re gonna go less concerned about going to The who gives a **** bowl and where the **** is that USA . People get stuck on the name, but it’s one of the highest payouts the ACC has and at least they promote their **** event and the eyeballs and ratings are good.

All of these are equal in conference selection rights.

4. HOW THE ACC DECIDES PLACEMENT

ACC + Bowl reps collaborate based on:

• Team record and season profile
• Avoiding repeat trips (don’t send the same team 2–3 years in a row)
• Avoiding repeat opponents
• Geography/travel expectations
• Expected ticket sales
• TV matchup value
• Ensuring variety for fanbases

Result: A lower-payout bowl can get a 9–3 team, and a higher-payout bowl
can get a 7–5 team — because payout does NOT determine priority.
