Idiots Muddying the Water

So we get a tidbit that Mario is the top choice - just like we've heard it was Shula, Schiano, Chud, Herman, Fuentes, and about another Baker's Dozen of desperation names.

Some would indicate that Butch Davis has the inside track as a proven, safe, quality program builder and coach familiar with UM and how to take advantage of Miami speed.

Then we have other retards who have an unrealistic favorite, who elect to chip away at Butch to somehow suggest their remote, not-coming-here coach will be elevated by comparison.

So now we get news - a strong suggestion that Mario is the top UM choice - and an honest evaluation of his coaching skills AS HEAD COACH positively sucks.

You guys keep it up, and when we end up with a Head Coach Amateur Hour progression, you can reach around, pat yourself on the back, and congratulate yourself for tanking Miami football.
The biggest shill out there. Hole e chit! This ***cing guy.

Mario gave Miami the middle finger 3 or 4 years ago when Al hired him as the ***. HC because he wanted to go swallow Nick in hopes he could be the next coach at Alabama. Well Mario, had you not have left the HC job at Miami would, most likely, be yours. But you our chose to give the finger to your alma mater, but now you want to come back?

Butch left 15 years ago during a dynasty and regrets it to this day as he has said. All he wanted was a little more $$$ that the NFL was glad to give him.

If the Ad and the BOT want to hold over Butch's head what he did 15 years ago, why don't they hold over Mario's head what he did 3 years ago!

We should get the football team to threaten a walkout, they seem to wield the most power on college campuses these days

You have a beautiful opportunity to bring back Butch Davis for pennies on the dollar and you ***** it up kiss the fan support goodbye. 10 years of BS we've had enough

IF they did, they'd be the only group on campus with the testicular fortitude. However, remember that much of the team is still Frauldenized. They'd probably ask for the Good Humor man.

Maybe Mario realized pretty quickly that accepting a job under Golden and the sanctions was not in his best interest? Regardless of what we all think he is, if he passed on the Bama job and stayed here under Golden these past 5 years, his future coaching career would be pretty much trash right now. As it stands, he is in a much better position professionally because he left. We all hated Golden...maybe Mario did too.

Call it trash or whatever you want to, but the FACT remains that he would most undoubtedly be the interim HC at Miami RIGHT NOW, with a clear path to remove the interim title if he had stayed here.

Exactly. Let's say Mario stayed and did a real nice job with the TE's and had some recruiting wins. My God. The local media slurpers and his apparent friends and family posing as Canes fans down here would be screaming "Look what this true Cane did DESPITE Golden!". He obviously would have been made interim HC and the screams to take away the interim part of his title would have happened within minutes after the Dook win. So no, I don't see Mario's move to Bama as actually helping his career because in my view he'd be a lot closer to getting this job- the ONLY job you hear his name attached to- if he had actually stayed. So in the end him having no loyalty and (hopefully) not getting this job only ends up serving us well.

Based off of what? If he was the interim, he would be just like Scott at the end of the season....looking for another job. Nobody from the Golden regime would've been considered as the permanent HC. Although its much better options available, he's a more attractive candidate because of the time spent learning under Saban. That's the reason his failure at FIU is not disqualifying him as a candidate. Learning under Golden would've killed all chances of that man being HC ever again.
