I'd rather NOT go to the ACCCG

I’m really confused as to how this board is just as, if not more, miserable than it was last year.

We haven’t been very good for years and years now. We didn’t even know if we would have a season and here we are at 6-1, only L to #1 Clemson on the road, we’ve been ranked practically all season and our recruiting is the best it’s been in some time and this board is still a cesspool. It’s truly baffling.
 
Look at this team and elite teams. It’s obvious we are not elite- not close.. we are a finesse top 20 team at best.

Maybe, but anything can happen. You take your best shot. Gretzky said "You miss every shot you don't take." Same holds true here. You have no shot of winning if you don't play the game.

Yes! Not only is, the OP has a soft attitude and he is wrong.

You always want to play in a championship game when or lose. The benefits of going to a championship game far outweigh not going even if you lose.

Imagine thinking that your reputation will be better when you cannot reach your own conference title game.

If coach shannon was the d-co, we would've held Clemson even more in check, they only had 21 points all the way to damyum near mid 3rd quarter, had we gotten just a lil offense, that's a different game, like I said after that game, Clemson doesn't want to play us again, our defense was skull druggin em, got trevor outta his bag as well. If we see them again, our offense will be a lil better barring health, although blake baker will still be here, but at some point, even he should finally be able to figure out that Clemson and NC. St both used the same run to one side and throw back to the other side, easy points.

@canesthing3, Let's see how the defensive side of coaches, especially the DC, handle VT and Hooker, because if it wasn't for King we don't win Friday night that's for sure.

I'm not rooting for losses just would like to see a more disciplined and smart D, which we don't have. The defense is not very good, 6-1 by barely beating weak teams.
 
Every game the rest of the way is going to be a challenge, including GT and Wake. That said, notion of being better not to make conference championship game is beyond stupid. Only get better and take next step by playing in big games. If opening with Alabama next year, you obviously want big games under belt before then. Not rocket science.

who is to say ND doesn’t lose at BC next week and then to UNC?

with COVID going on, I’m surprised y’all can’t see how unpredictable the season is.

Clemson losing Lawrence had no impact. This guy threw for more yards in his two games than all but one of Lawrence games.

Clemson ain't winning a natty. Clemson rushed 33 times for 34 yards. Let that marinade for a minute.
Their offensive line got exposed against ND and their running game will get shut down again against Ohio State or Alabama.

Their team is good, but not nearly as good as last year.
 
I say we play it. We need the big game atmosphere and experience that is lacking now to prepare us for the immediate future
 
We need to focus on self, take it week by week and not care about other results. If we don’t and start looking at Clemson or ND, we loose focus
