Ice to arkansas?????

yep, sorry bout that. too many schools to keep track haha. he definitely has some ties to south fla
 
There is a small chance you may get Ice if Shannon becomes the DC but don't get too excited about that would bring in terms of players from South Fla. It may help with some 2nd level players but the studs are still going to go where they have been going and one coach isn't going make that Arkansas.
 
not really excited about it, don't really know exactly what to expect. Arkansas has done well in s Fla under Bielema the last couple of years without this guy.
 
I think they will continue to pluck a few kids in every class. SEC school. Semi close to home. Coaches with ties to the area. Current players from down there. More than plenty of talent to go around.
 
no kidding, that's what kills us year in and year out is pure numbers. Arkansas may have 5 players a year on avg that play D1 football. helps to have a pipeline elsewhere

The reason they feel he's going to Arkansas is because of his cousin Denver Kirkland. Kirkland played at BTW last season and there was some bad blood with how his recruitment ended with UM pulling his offer at the last minute, and later reinstating it, but he went to Arkansas. There has been some rumor going around that Kirkland had said DJ was going to go to Arkansas, and some Arkansas recruiting types speculated that DJ has been playing Miami as payback for the way Kirkland's recruitment ended last year.

Honestly, after following recruiting for almost 30 years, nothing would really surprise me, but this kid has been emphatic that he's a Cane all season, so it would be quite outrageous if he did pull a d*ck move on NSD, considering that his whole family is in Miami, he's from Miami, and wants to be a preacher in Miami one day.

Completely in the TIFWIW category, my son is out at Booker T today because his high school basketball team is playing in Districts out there. He just texted me to tell me that he and a buddy saw Jackson pull a UM cap out of a Champs Sports bag and show it to the Booker T team.

Man, I feel like the guy that introduced P Buch's barber to the UM recruiting world. :)
