I tried to tell ya

I know people like all those guys , Napier is one I’m not sure if this is a job that interests him. He seems to be picky and waiting on a specific job.
Apparently he turned down the Miss. St, South Carolina and Auburn jobs (I assume an interview for).

I guess he's sat on the LSU job? Or he thinks he can elevate Louisiana?

Bro, he's never had a major violation in his career. The one thing he caught real heat for was calling Urban Meyer a cheater. He had a bunch of minor secondary infractions at Tennessee, but was clean at USC, FAU, and Ole Miss.
It's one thing to get away with stuff. It's another to be clean. I've known lane for about 10 years now and I know some of the stuff he's doing he's been able to get away with cause it's been done at programs that the NCAA has been passive about. Nothing about us and the NCAA will they be passive towards. What they shoot away elsewhere they crack the whip towards on us. Especially when there's a compliance department like ours that would happily send us in... I'll stick with death penalty. No thanks.

I always said he was fired , his only chance of keeping his job was a miracle run to win out. I haven’t walked anything back. He was fired NC State week but pulled that win off. That’s why I posted ” he was done” after Unc. Being told that I assumed we’d lose that Ncsu game. Which taught me a lesson , speaking so definitively was wrong. I should’ve stuck with my original comment “ he’s done unless he wins out“. I put myself in a bad spot.

Regardless if he won out / saved his job I‘d gladly ate that L. I’m confident enough in what I post to accept the occasional ****.

Cribby, you're good. No need to walk anything back or qualify your statements..and after today -- he gone

I made a point to watch that game, just to see how they looked. They beat OU in all three phases of the game pretty handily. Aranda seems super meticulous and well prepared.

seriously, the game wasn't even THAT close. Their QB(Bohannen) left about 3 touchdowns on the table with very inaccurate throws...

I thought the same thing. He’s dynamic running the ball. Just not a great passer. I don’t remember seeing Oklahoma get that manhandled on offense in a long time.

I will give Baylor a lot of credit, in that second half, they started running that delayed QB counter-play, and Bohannen with his legs really gashed them. That's his game

But defensively, I mean, did you see how physical and disciplined they were. The way they rallied to the ball, the pursuit angles, guys always in position -- in other words, everything MannyBall isnt

not sure. I think Kiffin would take it but I think they'd be reluctant to offer. I could see stoops getting a look before him

In my view, I dont know if Mario is coming to UM(and I know he's on top of the list with certain people), but when I see what guys like Sam Pittman are doing at Arkansas, it gets me to think that we need to find OUR version of Pittman. A real sound, solid football coach who fits the UM culture. Im not even all-in on getting a big name -- we tried that with Richt -- get me the next Matt Campbell

But it's going to take someone NOT names Blake James to find that guy...

Id take my chances with the death penalty for Kiffin. Couldn't be worse than the football we see now. Also, the ncaa has been defanged. Nothing to be afraid of anymore. It is a totally discredited organization and every school knows the way to handle them now is to stonewall. If a school is a moneymaker for the conference, the conference commissioner will tell Emmert to go f#ck himself and there is nothing the ncaa can do. Ncaa doesn't have the balls to cost the acc or sec tens of millions by sanctioning a popular program for several years.

They played super disciplined football. Everyone knew his respective job and stuck to it. Aranda had the defense ready to play. Super well coached. Easily the best coaching performance of the weekend.

watching how well prepared and hard Baylor played today -- Im all on Aranda.
Nah. No more smartest guys in the room please. Aranda for sure would make us tougher. But I want someone who is gonna make us more physical and isn't about gimmicks. Simply lining up and smacking the dude across from you in his ****. Whoop his *** then tell him I'll see you at dinner when ur momma cooks for us.

that's interesting, because Aranda is pretty highly regarded.

So you're assumption is we have the pull in or out of conference to stonewall the NCAA or that anyone in the acc besides Clemson is untouchable? Kool. Good talk.
