Please give me a running QB. Watching Bama with a freshman QB who can run and just took off for a 40 yard RD when nothing was going on. Miami is playing with one arm tied behind their back with Kaaya who looks like he is stuck in quicksand.

You will not have much success without a QB who can make some things happen with his legs. Just how the game is now

I'd be okay with a non running QB if he could make up for it with accuracy and pocket presence but kaaya just cant seem to do this vs the better teams

Bama won all their titles with pocket passers. Not saying they won't the title year but just saying. Mobile QB's are effective if they play in the right system.

Bama and Saban are the exception to the rules. They are just on a different level so they don't need a superstar QB or anything close really

Winston wasn't a "mobile" QB.
Obviously the QB position is an important one but the secret formula to winning titles are Defense and a good running game. If Kaaya had a better OL and an effective Offensive Coordinator he would be much better.

Winston wasn't Lamar Jackson but he could run and extend plays. You might need to go back and watch more of their games

Winston is kinda the exception that proves the rule.
It took the #1 overall draft pick at QB to win the title, and they almost lost to Auburn who was running a cheesy offense with a converted Safety at QB. FSU's top-rated defense got absolutely shredded that night. Only reason Auburn lost is because they scored too fast on their last possession.

Agree with many on this thread. Don't feel we have to necessarily have a running QB, but at least one that can give the perceived ability to run when needed.

Exactly. We would be looking at maybe one loss right now if Kaaya could run for a 1st down once or twice a game.He just is physically unable to do that. Been watching football a long time and I have never ever seen a slower QB on any team.
Dorsey was slow but even he ended up with just -79 yds for his college career while Kaaya currently has -349.
Kaaya currently is one of only 2 QBs in the ACC with neg rushing yardage ,dead last with -99.

Yes he was. You people have to quit mixing up "mobile QB" with "running QB". Winston could and did move around to extend plays or pick up yards.

The one commonality I see, if you don't have an effective OL, it doesn't matter what kind of QB you have. It just how the game is played.
