LSU is one of those schools that thinks they are better than they are. They have three titles, one with Saban, one with Miles, and one in 1958. Before Saban arrived in 2000, they had four 10 win seasons in their history. FSU is a far better job, especially while Saban is at Alabama.

Saban is retiring soon. LSU can get players from Louisiana, Texas, Florida, & Mississippi. It's a recruiting hotbet there.

Classic. Happens every time an SEC job opens up. The lists are always packed with Lombardi, Belichick and Walsh. All the dopey rubes went through the same unrealistic **** when the UF and South Carolina jobs opened up. Look who they wound up with.

Football is different now. A guy can make $4M per year at a place like TCU where he's a God and can win a P5 Conference and play for a NC. They feel no need to leave the comfort of where they are or what they've built to jump into a program that will fire them if they don't win 12 games every year and beat the Saban machine.

FSU benefitted from the bad coaching at the U the last 10 years.They were able to get the better recruits from S Fla. With the inevitable resurgence of Richt at the U their recruiting job became much harder. There is no competition from instate for LSU recruiting wise and Louisiana has a lot of talent. But in the end I dont see Baton Rouge as a better destination for Jimbo overall and he will likely stay. Now if Saban leaves Alabama it will make coaches more likely to want to compete in the SEC.
 
Todd McShay just said on Russillo & Kanell, that he's hearing that Jimbob is the run away favorite, he's #1 on their list & they're trying hard to get him.

They also discussed Herman quite a bit, but it was brought up that if Houston gets into the Big XII his salary bumps up to $5mill a year and he probably wouldn't leave.

But, McShay definitively said that Jimbo is LSU's #1 guy and they're going to throw everything at him to get him.

The jimbo to lsu rumors seem to be driving the Noles fans crazy. It has to have an effect on their team's performance. And turnabout is fair play in negative recruiting. Only thing that could be better is if jimbo goes to Lsu and Noles hire Al Golden as his replacement.

someone explain why LSU is a better job than FSU? they have good recruits but florida has more. sec is a little more difficult top to bottom than the ACC and saban is there.
