I think I see Richt's dilemma

We know Rosier is awful. Perry and Weldon may be adequate. However, Williams is his hand picked heir apparent. If he were to give substantial playing time to Jarren, and he proves to be equal or better than the other two backups, he runs the risk of both of them jumping ship.

That would be a nightmare scenario considering we have no plans to recruit a QB in the 2019 class. Therefore he will give him limited playing time in mop up without giving up a red shirt. This still keeps the job up for grabs next season. He should be elevating both Perry and Weldon now with decent reps to keep them in the fold for next season. Lord knows we will need the depth.

Richt is who he is 9-10 wins all the time.....its way better then what we had but after it becomes the normal the fan base will want more because the expectations here are like bama we want titles. If Malik is starting now still then his qb evals have alot to be desired if he cant put someone better on the field......unless these guys are getting in trouble off of it and he cant put them in.

He can't afford to lose the players, alums and fans. If those guys leave, then they leave. He must act now and it must be a discernible path forward for the future of the program.

I could see the Captain jumping, but no way handsome Cade leaves, he'd be set up as the #2 guy, get plenty of snaps and snappers.

I have no problem with him starting Rosier, the experienced kid, against LSU. Especially with Perry suspended. If Perry weren't suspended and he started him, or if he started Weldon, and Miami lost while looking lost at the position, you'd all be calling for Richt's head. And rightfully so.

But that game is over, and now it's cupcake, meh, cupcake the next 3 games. Now it's time. If Perry or Weldon are not starting by FIU or UNC, something is REALLY wrong.

Last year Perry was the heir apparent this year it's Williams. How about Jon Richt earn his money and develop one

Are you able to ever make a post without mentioning Bama?

Well there the bar thats who Im after if Im coaching. This fanbase has those types of expectations bama yankees Clemson OSU FSU Lakers Knicks

The expectation is titles I use bama because there the best and thats what we are striving for, if another team was winning like them I would use them as a college example. I want out team to play like that and look like that on Saturdays like the Butch years

I considered this before I began my anti-Malik campaign. At first it was my thinking as well. BUT if those guys are that quick to transfer because they weren't named the starter, Richt would simply be delaying the inevitable. There is nothing preventing them from transferring days before the 2019 season begins, just like the two QBs at LSU did.

WHEN he names his starter is irrelevant to them transferring. If they're going to transfer, they're going to regardless.

WOOO!!! You lost me at the Knicks. One of the most underperforming organizations in all of sports. Two titles in 72 years, with the most recent only 45 years ago and perennial bottom dwellers, yet they act like the Yankees. The level of delusion of their fan based is matched only by the Turds. Other than that I agree that we have high expectations.

Someone finally figured it out. Props op. Even if JW was fckn Aaron Rodgers in spring and fall camp. He wasn’t starting for fear of losing the other 2 to transfers. If we’re not going to recruit a qb we better be in the transfer market......

I get the Knicks are under performing as **** but the fan base wants championships, thats a bad example lol because people still go to the games. At Bama Miami or most schools no one will go to games because the fan base wants a competitor an elite team thats what they want. They are held to a standard of excellence.

Or give JW the job if he is that good and recruit a QB? Problem solved. QB of the future with a talented backup.

There's no excuse for starting a quarterback that is overthrowing his receivers by 10 yards, three years into his tenure.

Richt was hyped as this quarterback guru coming into the job because he coached Murray and Stattford.
