I think coach Richt may actually have realized it's over

Not to bring up the Butch argument, but he would do a helluva lot better than this. Pretty much any Texas high school HC could so what Richt is doing. Butch wouldn't have anything to do with the O he would hire him a good OC that fits the SoFlo talent we have. I imagine he would continue to let Manny run the D as well

What we finally need here is a wide open coach who can take advantage of the speed and skill within a 40 mile radius of campus. We can no longer keep bringing in these old scared conservative coaches who want to be the big bad bully and play old Big 10 football.

It’s just not a fit here and I don’t want to hear about 2001 and pro style and fullbacks and all that ****. Times have changed. Kids don’t grow up playing that football.

We need a guy like Jeff Brohm who is always going for the throat and runs a progressive offense that gets the ball to playmakers in space while they are moving instead of all these out routes where the receivers have no momentum and nowhere to go.

You guys to realize Rumph is probably the best X & Os coach we have outside of Diaz. Because I don’t think you guys do, he sucks at recruiting but actually is a real legit coach.

Banda, Jon Richt and Patke haven’t done crap and can’t coach.

That's just being too cynical. Richt may be stubborn and may even has seen the game pass him by, but Richt manipulative ? I don't see it

This pretty much sums it up. It's the whole buying a Ferrari and swapping engines with an Oldsmobile thing. And, he does look ill. I'd be shocked if reality didn't slap him the face last night. Sure looked like it did.

Sad to see a career end this way but best case scenario (doubtful) he steps away and Manny is the interim for the year. Let someone else call plays.

Again, doubtful but the toxicity is only going to get worse. Every fan, ex-player and current players see it. Eventually, that weight will be too much to bear.

Well considering our Safety play outside of Knowles has been pretty great the last two years or so, I don’t know how you can put Banda in there.

As far as Patke goes, I read he was just coaching the strikers and Finley is easily the most improved player on the team.

THIS! THIS! THIS! Richt shows zero energy on that sideline. I don’t think he has the energy to give. Making it worse is that he’s hired a bunch of people who won’t tell him what he’s doing wrong. He bought loyalty on both sides. For them to stay around and to shut their mouths.

LOL... yeah, I saw both Gautier and Maloney getting pushed into the backfield SEVERAL times last night. Ouch.

I don’t think he’s built for the toxicity he’s about to be bombarded with. He legit looks ill and listless and devoid of any testosterone. If he sees and hears the fans of his alma mater turn on him the way it’s about to happen it might break him. I could see him walking away.

Folden stood in there and stole checks to the end, but you could see how the toxicity wore him out. I don’t think Rick can withstand it.
 
Richt isn't what Miami needs. Miami need an innovative mind with NFL pedigree and rich isn't it. He's actually gotten worse as a coach. Qb's are supposed to be his specialty and that's the worse part of this team right now in year 3. Pathetic. I mean this dude wanted art sitkowski or wtf ever his name was and that dude was trash. I know he eventually got rid of him but with? I watched the guy for 3 mins and said dam he sucks.

The toxicity accompanied by the sudden realization that the game has passed him by and his play calling simply isn't working.

I think he was burned out at Georgia. Calling plays at Miami was going to reignite his passion. Once you've realized you're not good at calling plays - what's left?

We dont throw the ball down field his route combination sucks *** we have to much speed and talent not to throw deep outs post bombs

Not disagreeing with any of this and yes times have changed, but that 01 team would still spank anything out there now. Imagine what it would have been with proper coaching, **** that team was on cruise control the whole year
