…but if you’re upset after emasculating Napier and Norvell, beating our three biggest rivals, and sitting as possibly the #1 team in the country, you need a new hobby.

Yes, there is stuff to clean up during the bye week. We didn’t play well or coach well to end the game.

But if anybody is “sickened” or any other absurd emotions I’ve read on here, pop in a tape of the 2021 Alabama game.

A lot has changed. We’re the boss now. Enjoy it.

This is how Mario looked halfway into that 4th q.

You must've missed:
Their loss against 8-4 Jimbo
Their 2 point win against a 6-7 Gators
Their 1 TD win against a 6-7 LSU team (at home btw)
Their 4 OT win against 6-7 Auburn.

Thanks for playing.
I want to give these ppl credit for elite trolling but now I think they're actually that dumb.

Happy to be 5-0 and relatively healthy; anyone have an update on Moten? There's obviously things to like and things to work on but we beat our rivals on the road.

Are we the best team in the country? No. We don't play or look like the #1 team. We're behind OSU and Oregon imo.

Good win, I’ll take it. It’s the 3rd time this season the offense played against a team with some talent and went to complete Shii in the 2nd half or 4th quarter. Leaving the other side of the ball out to dry. Couldnt get a td, fg, or take time off the clock just kept giving the ball back. That is truly unacceptable and the way the game ended was not fun for a Miami fan.

They’re very much alike . I was on here griping about the D as far back as USF and then went ham after VT. And I had the same arguments being made that I’m seeing today. I kept saying red flags are staring us right in the face and nobody wants to see it. All I saw was excuses for the defense until everyone realized it was an abomination. This team is a lot better and more complete than last seasons but the playing with our food stuff is a big red flag. We need to stop letting teams build momentum after jumping on them , college football is a dangerous game and no lead is safe.
I said this in the game day thread. We are def playing with our food. Chris Fowler said our weakness is going for the jugular. Think this is something that can be fixed into the season?

I can go either way between us and Oregon.
PSU has shown to be overrated, especially their D.
More looks good though.

Luckily, in TrumpyCane's opinion, the rest of our schedule looks like a joke

Louisville looked like the worst 4-0 team ever, got exposed yesterday

Stanford looks awful

SMU is mediocre

Cuse looks awful

NC State looks mediocre

VT is awful

Pitt looks mediocre

The best team in the Country does not committ 114 yards in penalties and gets completely outplayed in the 4th quarter. Keep on dreaming Dmoney
That’s fair. But Ohio state was in a dog fight with Texas. TEXAS. It happens to great teams. We were a Matt Walter interception and Ed reed return away from the 2001 team not going down as the greatest ever

Agreed. It probably won't matter until we get to the ACCCG and or playoffs. Still, I don't think its a trait a team just acquires as the season goes along. You practice/coach it or you don't, and I think it's obvious Mario and staff do not.

I’d much rather have an issue like that than a defense that can’t stop a nosebleed . We need to find a happy medium some aggressiveness but not being reckless

Ohio State is the best team in the country (so far), with the best defense and the best WR. Oregon probably 2. Oddsmakers, sharps, CFB ball knowers - Pretty much everyone is slotting it that way.

But heck, I (and they) would put us up there 3rd, and certainly at the table for discussion. And that means we’ve come a long way - we’ve certainly got the best résumé to date.

Yeah, I’d be the first to say there’s no reason FSU should have came back last night. But I’ll take the W and hope Mario’s thick skull can see this is a reoccurring issue. He did not look happy on the sidelines at all for that 4Q.

I’m slightly concerned about our All-World OL not generating enough push in the run game when we need it, but then again FSU was doing everything possible to take it away.

Here’s to 4 quarters of dominance against a weak and mediocre Louisville team.

Spot on!

I want to win it all. Mario can’t keep letting teams into the game by forcing the run vs taking what the D gives. He can’t keep making massive game management mistakes. It cost the teams in more ways than a final score.

As a fan I share the frustration of not seeing us execute at the highest level on every play, but I believe Mario and team want to win a championship more than you or me or anyone else.

I think they work hard every day towards that goal. If the team falls short of excellence on week 6 at FSU but otherwise win and dominate a ranked rival, I think you have to appreciate the win as part of the overall growth, development, and upward trajectory of this team.

We have another bye to get healthy and address areas of execution/coaching/processes before an opportunity to play and coach better on Friday the 17th.
