This was a good win. We beat a ranked rival on the road, but the 4th qtr until the ending of the game was absolutely horrific. That can't be ignored and just tossed aside because we beat our rival.

I don’t like to blame refs. Last year I felt like the ACC refs treated us better than anytime in years.

But this year? The ND game and tonight?
Yeah, half the penalties were on us tonight, but the refs allowed FSU to mount that long drive that gassed our defense, that made it a game.

The uncatchable ball called for PI in the EZ.

The personal foul called when a player barely touched the midget sliding.

The personal foul called out of bounds, when our defensive player tried to hold up and tripped.

The 3-4 holding penalties in the second half on Mesidor and Bain, not called.

I’m sure there is another that I’m forgetting.

We were held in the end zone. It should have been a safety, the grounding that wasn’t… I complain about ACC refs but try not to say they’re responsible for things when we should maybe play better - but it’s one sided, unsportsmanlike and demoralizing to continuously watch.

1st half Miami did then the wheels fell off and Duke broke his ankle. The 3rd and 4th down defense wasn’t where it should be tonight. Lots of second stringers got time in that 4th quarter.

We had a shot at jumping back into the #2 slot but I guarantee the voters will say the HC is the biggest difference between the top 3 contenders. Dumb penalties are a coaching issue. Good win because everyone in the locker room should be angry and ready to fix things during the bye week.

Red flags, amigo. Big red flags. It’s completely fixable but only if the coaches acknowledge the problem.

They aren't the same you can call it what you like. The situations aren't the same. Maybe there are some red flags but the two teams aren't remotely the same in the way the the weaknesses appear. Digging yourself into holes because you throw bad picks and have no defense is different than a few things being off in certain situations. They just aren't the same.

LOL pretty sure DMoney has me on ignore by now, but this is 100% correct. We won convincingly. We were very clearly the better team and the whole country knows it. We're 5-0 and in the drivers seat to go to the ACCCG and beyond. WTF is there to complain about?

Who is? Honestly. Maybe you want to say Ohio State but their “marquee” win is against a Texas team that just lost to Florida. Oregon’s only win is against a Penn State team that just lost to UCLA. Honestly, who can you say, without a doubt is better than Miami?

Respectfully, we haven’t even gotten to the ACC Championship Game yet. This is only week 5. It’s not only about cleaning up stuff. It will almost be impossible to win a National Championship by playing not to lose games when having a big lead. Mario is holding this team back from being great.
