I know nothing about football (Heatherman related)

All I’m saying is he’s not Cam Ward lol he’s a good player and will present problems. But throwing for 300 in the context of the offense he plays in kinda feels like a given to me. Like yeah he has to execute. But he’s gonna give you plenty of chances to stall him out as well

IMO it's the explosives he creates with his legs and then throws down the field. I think he's a better passer than Reed, but I won't glaze him like he's Dan Marino. Just get his *** on the ground a few times and we'll be fine. He was pretty average against all the good defenses he played with comparable athletes to us, and let's be real, this is the best defense he'll have ever seen in his life.

An average passer rating in the country is about 135. Put it this way, Lil Tommy at FSU had a 136 passer rating this year. I think that's a good reference point.

Chambliss had 8 games above that number this year. Those teams were:

Arkansas
Tulane
Washington State
The Citadel
Florida
Mississippi State
Tulane again
UGA in the Sugar Bowl (was 145.6)

He had 4 games below that number this year. Those teams were:

LSU
UGA in Athens
Oklahoma
South Carolina

Which bucket would you put the Miami defense in? Group A or B?

He can get his 300 yards all he wants. But you gotta make him throw it 40 times to do it, and you gotta keep that completion percentage down. If we can make him a pocket passer, this should be a wrap. The whole world is saying the key to beating us is throwing the ball quick. Well, if you're gonna throw the ball quick, then you're not running around back there in circles like Johnny Manziel. So you wanna throw it quick? Or you wanna play sandlot ball? Either way, we got some killers who are coming with bad intentions, and they're a **** of a lot faster and more athletic than the kids at Mississippi State or Tulane or Arkansas.

Yea like don’t get me wrong. Again. Ole miss is good. But man. This can go wrong for them real quick.

Maybe Im that guy, but like you said when people compare him to reed I see an older more mature reed which to me is a great player lol.. (Reed had a lil heisman talk near end of season) Chambliss has liek eight or nine 300 yard games. He has more 300 yard passing + 50 yard rushing games than Johnny Manziel and only Jayden Daniels has done it one more time than him in SEC history. That is two Heisman QBs. I think only reason he didnt get Heisman talk is because he didnt start first 2 games and pad the stats there, if he did I think his numbers woulda justified it in a down year..

As a true Dual Threat running a Briles inspired offense, this is probably the best QB we have faced in last few seasons. Im going thru the full games and he is also another streaky thrower who misses throws, so its not all rainbows and sunshine or whatever. But the numbers are there for the kid. Idk what it was against UGA that allowed him to get on heater but thru season their offense does go into lulls in most games. But the scheme is already difficult as is and they have skill guys that make it tough. I still think we got the guys to make his life **** and pull out a win if we play a clean game overall.

And maybe I just like to respect the opponent too much because I saw how we were prior to UL AND SMU and then hearing how tamu/osu fans were, I like to just line it up straight.. lol
We will get our stops and hold them to average unders. As we have with every team we have played. The last thing I’m worried about is our defense. Now offense we can talk about lol. But they have been doing better and better. I expect an awakening with them this game.

We played a good amount of bump and run vs Ohio State. More than anyone else does vs that WR group and more than we probably expected to. And for the most part it shut down that WR ggroup.

If we are willing to do that vs them, we will be willing to do it vs Ole Miss. That will take away some of their quick game.

But will they answer with TE throws at that point? Targeting either of 1 or 31 in the pass game can lead to success.
There TE is a problem, especially when he is able to get lost on bootlegs and drags and such.. They move him around alot. Good player in their scheme.

We’re gunna be able to run the ball. If we can pass the ball and hit some explosives deep, we probably win by >10.
Going thru a couple full games, Idk if their defense is more competent than I thought or these SEC offenses just SUCK (leaning towards terrible offense) USCe couldnt move ball while their D held their offense down, they hit a couple explosives but Sellers missed atleast 6-7 WIDE open throw.. WIIIIDE open.. LSU defense gave them **** and Nuss couldnt do anything. UF gave up yards but they were in it til Lagway started turning ball over.. Mannn, I dont think they were really challenged by a decent offense all year. They are pretty big inside and to me Echoles flashes on the line, their DBs look like food but they drop 8 and flood zones, ehh..

In order National total O, Okla (92), UF (104), Kentucky (105), USCe (109), and LSU (111) were the worst offenses in the SEC. Even Miss St. (56) and Georgia (50) and just middle of pack.

Yup. I have some thoughts on how the game can go bad for us. But I also have some stronger thoughts on how it can go bad for them. You know as well as I do, teams like this like to play their game, they like pinball games, they like back and forth, I score, you score, it's a shootout, up and down the field, etc.

What if we have some early success on defense, say they only get 3 or 7 points on their first 3 drives, and they're getting off the field quick, and we are just grinding them with 5, 6, 7 minute drives, and all of a sudden they look up and it's well past the halfway mark of the 2nd quarter, they've only had the ball 3 times, and it's 14-3, or 17-7? These dudes start to press. You're used to flying up and down the field, and now your *** is parked on the bench, and when you finally get back into the game, you're just jacking up threes to try to get it all back at once.

I see that happening but more points then 17 that defense is not good and we can bully them.

The SEC offenses absolutely blow. I did this same thing in the lead up to the A&M game when we heard about how great their defense was. They're out here playing Mizzou's backup and LSU's backup and Mississippi State and USCe and awful team after awful team. Same **** with Ole Miss.

Just look at the results so far. The SEC is not a good league this year. At all. Especially on offense, and sure as **** not the teams Ole Miss played. Ole Miss didn't play Bama in the regular season. They didn't play A&M. They did play UGA and gave up over 500 yards of offense and lost. They didn't play Texas. They didn't play Vandy. They didn't play Mizzou. They didn't play Tennessee.

They played 8 SEC games:

Kentucky 2-6
Arkansas 0-8
LSU 3-5
UGA 7-1 (surrendered 500 yards and lost)
Oklahoma 6-2 (Pathetic offense)
South Carolina 1-7
Florida 2-6
Mississippi State 1-7

Aside from UGA, who they lost to, their 7 wins were over a combined 15-41 in the league.

And OOC they played Tulane, Georgia State, Washington State and The Citadel.

And they STILL have ****** defensive numbers.

Yessir that’s where I’m at

I’ve had a slight issue with Dawson over the years, couple times with Cam last year. Not a huge gripe but something I’ve noticed. Feels like sometimes he gets caught up in the other team rather than just sticking to our gameplan

That’s not a huge thing and it happens especially when you have an atrocious defense but I think he psyched himself into over complicating the A&M game. Im not a therapist but I appreciate his candor and he said as much basically

Keep the presnap penalties down and don’t get baited into a shootout and we should out-will them
