I find it funny how people attempt to discredit coaches...

Say what you will but the coaches have improved our record every year. I don't believe it is Golden's fault Shannon left junk at this school. I don't believe it is Golden's fault recruiting depth was not evenly balanced out (4 CBs recruited by Shannon in span of 4 years). I don't believe it is Golden's fault we had NO talent at QB so we resorted to transfers to build depth.

Is it funny now that Golden has dug his roots in Miami the team has far more talent? Is it a coincidence some of our best players are all underclassmen?

Even with all the garbage that has tarnished this football program we have improved in wins every year. Say what you will with scheduling but wins are wins, and this is all with a lack of talent. Imagine the possibilities now that actual depth is being built and there is talent spread across the team.

Have their been growing pains? Of course there has but what did you expect with what was here 4 years ago? No coach would have won here with a Stephen Morris at QB and freaking Highsmith as a starting safety. A QB turned safety was starting for us and you guys expected good things from our defense, el oh el.

People like to think Shannon had great players and Golden is terrible. Is Golden an amazing coach? No. Has he gotten better this year? Obviously. Has the team gotten a lot more talent under Golden? No doubt. You cannot look at any roster under Shannon and think it was loaded with the same level of talent Golden has. Now it is just a matter of Golden making use of the talent. He's turned the corner the last 3 games and dictated the game on both sides. Keep it up and we're all happy. If not... you know the drill.
 
Let's just wait until after the Florida State game. Nothing to talk about til after that pivotal game.

I agree with this post bro but golden has to make changes in the staff. That's the only problem I got with the man. To be honest I like golden as our head coach, I really do. It's like jimmy Johnson always said.. What makes a good head coach is the staff around him and of course the players. Coach D has to go ASAP.. He's horrible and is to soft. That is not miami football what so ever. I'm starting to like coley.. He's still new to play calling and has obviously gotten better throughout the year. We should keep him. Our online, wr, te, linebackers coach should stay as well as coach beard, Baez and of course ice. Everybody else gotta go !
 
What do you mean by "discredit"?

Don't have to have earned credit in the first place to lose it?

Jeez. Golden's missed more top local talent that he brought in. Shannon sucked too.

Out of 3.5 years, you're only counting the last three games. Did you not see for example, that FSU has won 25 straight? Like we used to do?

Three games. That's about **** poor.
 
Oh my! Dude its been 4 years, and even though we are not completely stacked with talent.....yet, we are at times (most of the **** time) at a huge schematical disadvantage. That's on the corches. If u can't see that, then I don't know what to tell u. Our schemes or coaching, or lack thereof, have cost us atleast 2 wins this year. Not debating roster moves or the "cloud", but he has had enough time at the helm to not be losing to GTech!
 
Someone told me the job shannon did here has no effect on goldens tenure. The fact that randy was terrible, and not a good recruiter, has no bearing on al Golden's results.

has golden ever beaten a team that finished the season with less than 5 losses? va tech is now 4-5...

Once again people with a little lack of football knowledge attempt to argue. You try to argue that our "scheme" blows. How do you expect a defensive coordinator to run a proper scheme without the proper players? Once again answer this question...Can a defense be successful with a QB turned safety in Highsmith starting in the secondary?

Another note on people saying Golden missed out on local talent and needs to make staff changes. How can you expect talent to come to a school with a pending investigation that took years to get over? Not only this but bowl bans. Explain to me why a recruit would come here when that is happening? Please come up with one good reason please.

Lastly Golden has made staff changes. Do you not think Ice Harris has been a great pickup for this team? Do you not think Kehoe, who this idiot fanbase was bashing the first week and are now slurping, has done a good job? For people calling for Coach D's head, I'll ask you again. What do you expect from a defense that was starting friggin AJ Highsmith at a safety spot. Does that tell you there is talent there?
 
Remember the time the OP forgot that Golden & Co out recruited all the opponents in a division he has yet to actually win? I do. Dude must be a trolololololooooo.
