He misread the safety. Thought he had Marion one on one and saw Marion blow by the corner who was playing a trail technique because he knew he had the deep safety rolling over the top with help.

Got greedy that’s all. Marion saw the safety early and that’s why he never looked back until he saw the safety go up for the ball

The only fault of Marion on that play is that he could have loooked back earlier and played defense but I don’t blame him for that at all

I'm proud of our guys for fighting and not giving up but I'm hurt with how winnable this game was.

Momentum is a powerful thing in college football and right now we definitely have it in our favor. This stings so much but I have faith we'll be back

I get all of that, but that's not the place a play all has the ball being delivered to if the WR is still going up the field. Meh, whatever, it is what it is.

He’s been god awful all season

How we didn’t get one of the younger kids up to speed by at least the SMU game is on woodiel; as much as Dawson is ******* trash he has been a hole on staff

Can’t recruit in a position that is essentially a recruiting position. And he can’t coach up the dudes in his room

Well I need to watch it again, but I think he thought he moved the safety with his eyes just enough but didn’t have the arm to put it in there at all.

Beck was very good tonight. Had at least 3-4 drops

QB can have a good night, but when the game is in his hands and he throws a pick to end it, unfortunately that's what people will remember about the game. A man has to know his limitations. Beck can't make that throw. Again I'm not saying he should be pilloried, but that was his game to win or lose. Different story if MIami is down 10 there and has to score a TD, then get an onside kick and basically need miracle after miracle. In that situation I get it, game is basically lost anyways so take the chance. But we were a TD and extra point away from winning. Just a horrendous end.
 
I shaved my balls for this, WTF? Gave them the game. If you can't trust a $4 million dollar QB in college to lead you.. Why are you paying.
Not just the final play but all game. Underthrowm, late, off target, Etc. All game

This is not 1986 or 2002. No where near that level of devastation.


We knew we needed to play an A game to win. Instead:

* Dawson played with his food the entire first half again. (no points scored in the 1st half in two of the four playoff games).
* Whiffed block allowing a blocked punt for six
* Missed field goal in a predictable way. (Carter Davis on the left hash leaking the ball to the right)
* Toney fielding another punt inside the five yard line.
* Facemask on 3rd and 18 when IU was running a draw play.
