Correct. Anyone that’s watched the shows the last 45-60 days wouldn’t make that comment. It was clear Pete didn’t take it seriously.

AR is growing into his new role but I see why he was picked. It’s nice to get a player’s perspective.

You lose some of the recruiting info but D$ probably will cover that.

AR’s value will be felt during the season where he can talk about actual plays.

The problem is that AR is not in the weeds enough, especially with regards to recruiting. He doesn't really add any other value other than the former player perspective, which I generally find boring.
 
The most valuable commodity for that or any similar show will be information we couldn't otherwise get. The other stuff is just filler

Recruiting news / Tidbits
Evaluations on players from people in the building
Current player updates
Program and athletic department updates including facilites
etc etc

AR has a unique perspective as a former player but its not tapped into or articulated well enough.

I would try to get the some of the coaches on the show for a more in depth look behind the curtain. How they evaluate, what they are looking for, things they do in the offseason to prepare or even improve themselves.

Go review his breakdowns of aTm and Indiana, you've sold him insanely short. He was ahead of nearly all the media on those match-ups. If that is boring to you, why listen to any media?

I do think AR needs more time to grow into this space. Maybe he's nervous? I think he can be a little repetitive with the things he says. He just needs more reps at this or study other co-hosts on other shows. He doesn't need to be hype at 100mph, just a tad more upbeat, and stop saying "to be honest with you.."

I would think AR82 will learn and become better-

it's his first week in a stressful new position.

he will grow into it.

From what I've heard, I would expect AR to have greater access to recruiting info going forward.

Keep in mind, UM preferred AR in this role over Peter. Read into that what you may.

D Money has a natural flair for the gig. Like a born game show host. Pete often came off as stiff or uninterested. He just didn’t have that pizazz. AR is still very green. You can tell he hasn’t been asked to put together longer responses or explanations a lot before . But he’s likable and gives an important player perspective. Hopefully he gets more comfortable.

I do like when they mix up guests. Sometimes, especially on Wednesday with Mike, D and Pete, the show seemed to cater very heavily to a certain demographic.

Hold on. I thought the school and program had no influence on this decision whatsoever.

that gives you 40 minutes of amazing footage to review and teach the new generation and get recruits and players stoked about our tradition and history!
