Hypothetical If 2016 FSU Game is Moved would U be Okay If?

Hurracanes you must be related to UF AD Jeremy Foley because you seem scared to play tough games. An FYI Miami has played FSU close the last few games and this year we have the coaching and talent to beat them whether it is at a neutral site or at Home.

Can we make it through one thread without mentioning the gaytors?

Ross should have to put up the full $27million for the IPF regardless of the stadium situation this season.
If we're forced to play at SL, then the Dolphins should be forced to accommodate all the financial necessities for our program that we can't afford ourselves.

So dumb. Yep we're forced to play at Sun Life by the big bad Dolphins. If it weren't for them we'd be playing at our beautiful practice fields and swimming in all these other venues we have available. Ross is such a jerk to buy the Dolphins after we signed the 35 year lease. Then he had the audacity to spend 400 million dollars on renovations on a stadium that we don't show up to.

Ross can't make the renovations be completed and there will obviously be some games moved, so considering financial repercussions, which will happen, why not this one. Remember you always start higher than where you hope to receive. If The U can get a win-win out of this, what makes this idea so crazy.

how could you be ok with not playing FSU at home?

The UM tradition was built on playing anyone anytime anywhere and expecting to Win. So if we have to play FSU in Orlando or anywhere else I expect Miami to win!

You really are a tool.

Why am I a tool for presenting a viable solution to a pending crisis, and then explaining my position?

Go Cane

because why would anybody be ok with not being able to play FIU at home much less FSU, our biggest rival, biggest game, and biggest recruiting weekend of the season?

sure if the stadium isn't ready we will HAVE to play somewhere else but nobody should be OKAY with it. FSU and other teams already hammer Miami on fan support and the stadium situation this makes us look like a D-II team

We probably won't miss any games but even if we did, it's not going to hurt recruiting. Miami had to play elsewhere because their stadium is getting a 400 million dollar renovation. Wow, that statement will shake all the recruits.

But then again, this is pointless because it won't happen.

And can we stop with is anytime anyplace we r the canes bull****--no one is afraid of us. This isn't the good ol days

Could be.

What's the point of Paramus throwing out ridiculous hypotheticals that will never happen? What's next? Something like this: Would Mark Richt eat a bowl of dog shīt with a spoon if it meant the IPF was built this year

Well if we are starting higher than we hope to receive lets try to make his *** build us our own stadium. Maybe we'll settle in the end if he just picks up the tab for the IPF himself

Are you ******* serious right now?

No self respected fan who attends every home game would be ok with playing any game outside of our "home" stadium, let alone outside of our city.

Recruiting, dummy. The biggest official visit day of the year and we won't even be able to show them our campus....take a hike, Danny.

Actually genius Miami tends to have host of its most official visit weekends in January just before signing day when the weather in south Florida is at its best. Now Miami does have a lot of local recruits attend the games throughout the year on unofficial visits. So please do your homework before running mouth.

Also this thread about compensation if Miami had to move several early home games. But even if we had move the FSU game and Miami got $7-$8million donation out of it then I am all for it, because that would help rebuild Miami's foundation long term! There will be other home games recruits can attend later in the year. If Miami has 10 or 11 win season then the home games won't matter just that we beat FSU and got a huge donation for the IPF. Stop being so F-ing short sided, think long term.

A few points based on several posts so far:

1) Why in the **** would Ross donate an ENTIRE season's worth of revenue to Miami as compensation, PLUS an additional $3-4M?!? Idk if you have had different experiences but every wealthy person I've ever met is a tight ***, that's usually how rich people get rich, very good with their money. Not to mention Ross is a MICHIGAN alum and could give a fuq less about Miami if we were not making him money... He's more likely to simply pay is the exact projected amount of lost compensation and not a dime more unless it's to avoid potential legal action

2) Reports of construction actually continuing into November were false according to all parties.

3) Getting a large donation for an IPF would NOT be better long-term than losing out on a one-time event, a 2016 home games against our biggest rival FSU, an event that would be our biggest recruiting event of the year and a win would potentially be our biggest in a decade! Since I have to spell this out for you, we would be losing something that is literally irreplaceable versus gaining a donation that we are already getting anyway! It is almost a 100% certainty that the official IPF announcement will come by summers end according to the way things are looking. Lastly, an IPF wont even be finished for over 2 years and a few months of a delay in beginning construction would not be a big deal in the long term development of this football program under Richt compared to missing out on a one time recruiting event that can help us sway recruits that will be on campus as early as spring 2017 while also showing off our new stadium on national tv. Pretty **** sure that will help us turn this program around faster and thus allow us to have more long term success. The more years we add to this perceived drought, the longer it will take us to get back to prominence. A win over a rival that is currently a national power will change perception for years whereas an IPF will simply be catching up to the rest of our conference.

4) We do have plenty of visits in the winter months but that's several weeks we are talking about in the off season compared to game week in season. Aka game day versus a weekend just like any other weekend down here. Not to mention OVs during a game will be attended by mostly local recruits. The winter OVs are usually for OOS kids and a decent amount of them have been and will continue to be, albeit less under Richt, FREE TRIPS...

But go ahead, keep pulling stuff out of your *** and proposing it as an actual hypothetical...FOH.
