Hurricanes RB talent...

Cooper, Lamar Miller and Mike James were much better.

they should be better than this group. This was a good group in spite of the coaching staff!!

Damien Berry and Storm Johnson too

Exactly.

We have one proven guy on the roster in Duke, who is probably better than anyone we've had since McGahee. However, while I like Yearby he isn't proven and I dont think he's a better prospect coming out than Storm, MJ and Miller. He's closer to Coop. Gus Edwards looks like a guy who will get passed up by our current commits. After those three we don't even have a another scholarship running back. Honestly, we were better at the running back position under Shannon. Although if this RB class holds up we'll be strong at the position again in no time.

Gus also would have shirted in a perfect world. He needs to improve upon last season, but he ran better than I expected him to.

Not saying he can't improve, and I hope he does but I don't see it. You can usually tell from the get go with skill players especially RBs and WRs. Yeldon, Duke, Gurley, those guys there was no second guessing. Just my opinion but when I watch Gus I get the sense he wants to be a finesse back as opposed to the power back we need him to be. Hope he balls out. This team needs a bruiser.

Right. As a running back either you are good or you aren't pretty much right away.

When fall camp opens this year and assuming Yearby is healthy, Miami will be more TALENTED at RB that its been since 2001. And it might even get better and better the next three years.

We had more talent with Lamar Miller, Mike James and Storm Johnson. Duke is the best of the bunch, though.

What I'd really like to see is Walter Tucker emerge as a short-yardage specialist a la Damien Berry. Gus has a lot of gifts, but he will never be that guy.

Yearby as long as he pans out, is second coming of Warrick Dunn, take that in a heartbeat. Yearby better prospect than Storm and Mike coming out, either tied with Miller or just a hair under coming out of high school.

Duke was better than all of these guys like Miller, Sony, Cook, Yearby, a Collins, etc.

Those guys didn't take over like Duke did. Duke is a Legend. Put his team on his back and still does till today.

Lets talk about next years depth chart. IMO Duke gone, why stay and get hurt again. Gus to FB. Leaves Yearby.

And GO
