Hurlie Brown

It's funny...

When Butch coaches studs who went onto great NFL careers we always hear "Butch developed so and so..."

When Shannon fielded good defenses at Miami it's always "He had a roster full of NFL Pro-Bowlers to work with."

Most love Butch for his ability to discover/collect talent, not develop it. If Shannon was so great, he would have landed a DC job years ago. Despite his recruiting ties, nobody wants him. Same with Butch as a HC.

nope... What everyone says is "Butch identified, recruited and closed Pro-Bowl caliber players to come to the U", no one says "Butch developed so and so"

Everyone knows Butch wasn't a good game day coach or incredible developer of talent, he was the best at IDing guys like "Santana, Ed Reed, Shockey, Dan Morgan, Reggie Wayne..."

Had Butch stayed players like Lavonte David, Antonio Brown and Patrick Peterson would have been playing at the U... instead Randy wanted Romeo Davis, Aldarius Johnson, and KC Rodgers..

Also from a development standpoint, guys like Arthur Brown and Sam Shields became monsters when they left Randy

The irony that WEFNSE is the head of the recruiting table and brings absolutely nothing to recruiting. I don't remember WEFENSE recruiting anybody worth a damm

once again, look at the disgust on HB face. he was only one standing up.

I would keep Hurley just because of this. Does anyone know who the recruits (Safety) they were actually talking about in the Video. Hurly so no to extending the offer?

Please don't act like we don't throw the word "develop" all over the place on this site.

Nonsense. We use the word "develop" around here any time a coach we like sends a kid to the NFL. The only time we don't use the word develop is when we're talking about Shannon's tenure at DC. It's always the same thing... "He had a roster full of pro-bowlers to work with."

like when Radio "develop" those 3 5star LBs he brought in? Willie Williams, Arthur Brown and James Bryant?

and you're making stuff up, no one talked about Butch's ability to develop. We all know identifying and recruiting talent are his strengths

a white safety from delaware

I Watched the film, and that kid looks like a Navy FB, not a Miami safety! He could prolly be a nice FCS safety prospect, but not for the big boy division.
