Hurlie Brown HC @ Merrit Island HS

Good for him Merritt Island was a powerhouse back in the day. That 72 team with Leon Bright, Jimmy Black and Waldo Williams was the best team to ever come out of Brevard county hope he does well.
 
Yeah it really depends on the coach. Not nearly as much talent as the 305 but enough that if properly coached can do some damage. Alot of great names though like Collinsworth, Wilbur Marshall, Derek Brown and lets not forget Palm Bay alum Matt Walters!

I haven't been following closely the last few years on the rest of brevard county but i know cocoa has been pretty much a power house for the last 8 years.
 
Didn’t we offer some stud athlete from there recently? Don’t remember his name but remember his film outrunning everybody.

Viera High has also been good the last couple of years but I do agree, Cocoa is top dog around these parts...

I remember they were talking about a safety from Dela****ingware! I’d love to see the guys they passed up to prioritize that kid. Hurley looked utterly confused. Unreal

Forgot the name but it was a 2 star from Delaware. Would love to know what kind of career he had covering receivers who run a 4.9
 
would take him as our db coach right now over what we have.

That "recruiting video" was tough to watch...part of the reason why i laugh when folks say "coaches know what they are doing, they are paid to do this"....

Our db coach was drawing smiley faces in a corner of the room...and our dc kept saying "give me a guy thats good at being a safety" after touting a 4.8 40 safety that didnt have any pop. Hurlie looked like he was about to fall out of his chair. Flat out said...thats not a um/acc db

Rockledge fell off a few years back when their head coach retired but they seem to be getting it back together. Viera and Palm Bay are also solid programs in Brevard.

Remember when Hurlie Brown was the one guy in D'Onofrio's board room making any sense during recruit review?
