He was important to our recruiting. He brought us some good kids from Chicago, which has always been a rich area, especially for linemen and linebackers.

He also recruited Memphis, where we used to get some good players.

Michael Irvin made special mention of him on Dan Patrick's show. Obviously played a huge role in his career. I'd expect the school to honor him at some point this season.

Coach Alexander played an instrumental role in the Hurricanes rise to prominence with his WR units coming to define our offensive identity. Great coach that will be greatly missed.
