How To Catch Carson Beck's First Preseason Game

Beck has always been good. He’s big, strong, accurate, smart, throws for a lot of yards and wins a lot of games (including big ones).

People hate him because of the way he looks and the timing of his interceptions. But he was a real Cane. Well-liked in the locker room and played through injury with no excuses. Last season was our best in two decades and he did it off elbow surgery.

The Cardinals are a perfect fit and I can’t wait to watch him on Sundays. I’m 41 and we’ve never had true NFL QBs in my adult life. Now we have two.

If he truly gets arm strength back, I think he has at minimum a long-term spot starter, and quality backup at worst.

Being a 3rd round pick is the thing that really screws him though cause I don't think a decent season is stopping Cardinals from drafting qb. I guess we just have to see how the draft order shakes out. But as far as team fit goes, Vikings would have been better, but Cardinals were pretty high up there with Mike Lafleur, I agree
 
Love the praise he's getting! Dude took a lot of bull**** over the years, he lead us to the national championship and gave his everything to this team. I've always thought his game will translate to the NFL really well. People say his QB IQ is off the charts and is essentially another coach on the field

To be fair I think Beck was seeing stars when he threw that pass. He lead us on a game winning drive to reach the natty like a week before so he thrives under pressure. It was just a bad set of circumstances, you couldn't take him out and put Emory in there because Emory would probably **** his pants.

Can you imagine having to put Emory Williams out there on a game winning drive to win the natty 🤣

Add to the fact that Marion inexplicably never looked back for the pass. It was a combo of really bad things at the worst time.

I feel like this throw is more like the natty INT than the bomb. If only we had another receiver inside of Marion, I feel like Carson would have thrown it the same way he did here cause the Safety wouldn't have been so far over. Why the **** am I doing this to myself?

Beck is perfect for this offense. Run the ball, play action and passing game that give him the option to the ball out of his hands. As said before the timing of his INT is one of negatives but the biggest is if you hit Beck early in a game he start to see ghost. LaFleur offense will keep him clean and Beck will eat.
