For those complaining about Bain and Kelly dropping into coverage...go watch an NFL game and watch how often edge players drop into coverage to cover that curl flat. It's a trait teams look for.

Reuben Bain looks like a more compact, smaller spider graph Travon Walker at times.

Defensive statistics is legitimately the worst way to determine how good a player is.

Again, I’m convinced most of you don’t actually watch the games and only watch highlights.

Has LT been elite, all world…no. Is he a good college DT who is certainly not a bust…absolutely.

Question how has Kelly looked I know he’s been hurt I haven’t really locked in and watched him specifically but when I have watched he doesn’t seem very twitchy to me. Hope my eyes are wrong and it’s just him being young and hurt

The expectations come with the 5 star rating, fair or unfair. I prefer large busts, but I digress.

Being a bust and succeeding in life are two different things. I would also contend that being drafted does not mean succeeding in life. Being drafted and accomplishing something at the next level is success. Helpng the community along the way... even more so.

I hear u but making it to the nfl is like a lottery ticket, the odds are slim asf.

Millions of kids play football, only 259 get drafted. Probably less of that actually make the roster.. A day 2 pick makes the roster, then get paid millions. Thats succeeding in life, nit the end all be all but they been playing since a toddler if u reach the league u are rare

Jalen Carter had 3 sacks last year. So im guessing LT needs to get 2 more to move on from BUST LEVEL to all world Jalen Carter level....All while playing next to Gore and Lichtenstein and running dline twist on passing downs.

U know better, we can look at those two play and its two different levels..its not close *** the numbers

He needed the big body 1 tech to play beside him. We didn't land that guy from the portal and definitely haven't recruited one of them. Moten is as close as we have and he barely sees the field.

Another year would do him some good but I seriously doubt he gives it any thought at all. Same with James Williams.. it's all but a lock that those 2 bolt at first opportunity.

lt is clearly out of position but he seems to lack the drive to be great.

Exactly. Look at the talent level Carter had playing alongside him and compare it to Lichtenstein and Gore. Much easier to dominate when you actually have a bunch of “dudes” next to you. Carter’s a beast, but comparing our D-Line depth to Georgia’s is ridiculous.

Hey i was a huge Jalen Carter fan when he came out of Apopka.

In fact i even made the comp to our current dt commit Art Jones as Jalen Carter lite.

In each scheme guys are ask to do different things so its hard to compare, and guys also are playing with different level of teammates.

Im not down on LT as you are at all. Especially when he is essentially learning to do something in a enwer scheme that he hadnt b4. He has been taking on two guys at the point of attack better this year and more this year. If you really watched LT b4 or from High school he was always a guy that made plays by getting skinny and swim moves. **** he used the swim move to much sometimes leading to him getting washed but he is really good with it.

They didnt bring in abig guy and lost the starter from last year to our rivals so he kind of has taken over that role...he is paired alot with Gore when i watch..and we sub alot on the dl for whatever reason. He needs to be out there more in my opinion.

There's an enormous gap between a bust and a kid not living up to 5 star billing. He's played more comparable to a solid 4 star kid. Probably needs to come back next year but we know how unlikely that is based from recent history.

I can't fathom a HS FB player coming on this chit to read it. It doesn't talk at them or have videos of p.0rn.

I agree. People are focusing on the "missed whales" this year, however it's the previous years failure to sign DT's (CB in parallel) and we see and feel it this year. Not getting Rogers, Malone like quality from the portal hurts along with the departure of Jackson and Miller.
