Last year Miami was tied for 89th in the country in points per game. What will Enos do that will improve upon this? Thanks in advance.

Back on topic..

What is a realistic performance quartile for Miami this year?

Enos can only do so much with the swiss cheese O Line.

Honestly it depends on OL play. All the weapons we have and creative formations and play calling won't really matter much if there's nowhere for RBs to run and no time for the QB to throw.

But...but....but...

The OL is much better than they have played for the last 15 years....watch...you'll see. Its purely been tje coaching.

if Miami’s offense is as good as it was in 2017 with Malik Rosier and Mark Richt, Miami will be very good this year and good for about 10-11 wins with one to two losses.

2017:
Over 3100 yds passing (2018: 2175)
Over 2100 yds rushing (2018: 2496)

In 2018 the top 20 in total yardage (OK, AL, Clemson, OSU, Memphis, UCF, Houston, GA, OKSt, UTSt, MO, WV, aTm, MI, Syracuse and Baylor …) cut off was 5968 yards.

If Enos can improve total yards over 2017 by just 10% then Miami likely goes undefeated - even though it likely scratches the bottom of top-40 offenses. Of course that would be more than a 20% improvement over 2018. If Miami’s offense can get about 6000 total yards through 13 games (about #20) for a 14% improvement over 2017 … then CFP.
They need to improve on more than just total yardage from the 2017 season. 3rd conversion %, points of turnovers, red zone scoring %, etc. It's not just about total yardage.

It all comes down to play calling and player utilization. How many games have we suffered through over the past 10 years against teams with sub par QB play but had the appropriate play calling and players in the right positions to destroy us?

Obviously we have the talent, it’s just a matter of Enos calling the correct plays. Put our players in a position to succeed, not just take up space!

Oh, and I’m so **** glad we won’t have to watch that ridiculous pre-snap RB shift every play this year!!
