Ed Reed & Ray Lewis are first ballot locks.

Edge will get in the next few years.

I think Wayne & Andre will get in but it will take some time.

Wilfork, Gore and Hester will have real trouble getting in.

Jimmy Graham would have to continue at his current pace for another 4-5 years, which will be difficult.

Jimmy Johnson idk

Your thoughts?

Didn't Gore just go over 12,000 career yards? There isn't anyone out there with those credentials that doesn't already reside in the HOF.

Jerome Brown would've probably already been in and Sean Taylor would've probably got in after his career....

Unfortunately, they never had a chance to finish out their careers....

If Jerome Bettis gets in Edge and Gore should be in.

But I would say Jimmy, Reed, Lewis, Wilfork, Hester

I was going to say Jimmy should definitely be in but then I looked at the list of coaches that are enshrined (especially the modern era ones) and it's extremely rarefied air. Doubt he gets in unless they start putting guys like Tony Dungy in this year- then Jimmy's case gets a lot stronger.

Ray and Ed are first ballot
Edge is 11th all time and dominated his position over a 5 year period. He will get in
Gore with another 800 yards moves to 8th all time. He would get in
Andre and Reggie are both top 9 all time in catches and yards. They are both in
Wilfork, border line
Hester, dominated his position over a 5+ year period (returner) probably get's in.

Jimmy Graham would've been on track if he hadnt gone to a team who doesn't understand he's more than a decoy.

Wilfork has been one of the most dominating NT in NFL history with 2 super bowls under his belt. He's getting in.

Frank Gore is still a very productive RB at the age of 32. He also eclipsed the 12,000 total rushing yards mark which is very hard to do. He's getting in.

I don't see Hester getting in given that he's a sub par receiver. He's definitely an all-time PR/KR, but I don't know if that's enough for him to get in.

Jimmy Johnson will eventually get in given his 2 super bowls and the way he was able to construct those early 90's Cowboys teams the way he did. The reason it'll take a few years is his overall NFL coaching record isn't all that great. But 2 super bowls is 2 super bowls.

Jimmy Graham is well on his way, so long as he does what you said - stay at his current pace for another 4-5 years.

Dont think Andre, Hester, Jimmy, or Edge make it in. The rest should.

Look at Andre's resume and say that one more in.

Other than ray and ed, who are in and the goats at their positions:

If gore puts up another good year, he'll get in on numbers though he wasn't THE MAN at any point in his career, which is why he's tougher without clear numbers. Get to 13K yards, he's in.

Edge should get there eventually. His yards are credible but he really was the MAN for a bunch of seasons. They generally respect that.

Andre and Reggie, prolly should be there but the whole WR list is weird. Not sure the league knows what to do there because rule changes have jacked passing and receiving numbers so cross time period comparisons are hard.

Wilfork is an interesting candidate. He really is as good a NT as has ever played. But his job is to engage blockers. He doesnt rack up stats. His all pro numbers aren't eye popping (1x first team). He has two rings. He is a guy they may upgrade in retrospect. You cant argue for him on numbers. It'll be a qualitative assessment.

Hester- not going to happen.

Graham- not worh talking about at this point.

JJ: he'll be fine either way.

Greg Olsen has been very consistent on his career and has played at a high level. I think he has a great shot as well before he's done

If Harbaugh would have stuck around in SF, with the line they had, Gore would have been a lock if he stayed there. I still think he gets in but it's not as cut and dry as some think.

How? he is top 10 in rushing yardage and has only played 10 or 11 years in the league and still has 1-2 more years. Before this season he had 4 straight 1000 yard plus seasons
