How good will our defense be this coming up season?

The defense is going to be fine. We didn't lose the Wisconsin game because of bad defense, we lost because of horrific offense. The defense did everything it possibly could that game. We've got our three senior LB's coming back, and a ton of talent in the secondary. While I'm worried about our depth on the DL, we have some good young guys. I don't expect a huge step back.

The key will be the offense. If we see an offense that becomes a top 25 then it will offset the defensive dropoff

Is this bolden guy that good? Y’all talking like he’s gonna walk right in and start.

Need the UCLA DT.
Need Rousseau healthy.
Need Patchan healthy and improved.
Need Bolden eligible.
Need Ford to play like a man.
Need a 2nd corner to emerge opposite Bandy.

All doable. And if those things happen, this defense will be real close to last year’s. But you won’t replace 4’s impact. I don’t care how good Hall and Bolden are. 4 has generational instincts.
The fact that the staff hasn't targeted any CB transfers makes me think they are good with who is returning. They'll just be untested. Other than that interior DL is the only concern.

New York City is a ****ty destination? Tell that to the 11 million people who live there and the 30 million people who visit every year.

Let me guess you're from some clearing in the woods where you're related to everyone and the biggest local attraction is the ol' swimmin' hole.
Sorry - didn't mean to hit a nerve, honey. You'll get over it.

IN reality we'll be really good, but a quarter step back from this year. Statistically, because of our O, we will be the same or better-ish. Bottomline, our D will be plenty good enough to go 11-1 or better if the O does what I believe it will.

Everyone doesn't think NY city is that great! Some of us have actually been there a bunch of times to formulate that opinion.

You got ripped off by tranny hookers more than once and ur butthurt at the city for it?

Big step back. New DC (yeah I get it's the same system but still), losing Willis is going to be HUGE, losing J. Jackson doesn't help, two new safeties and only one proven CB.

Thank god the LB's stayed.

I'm not saying we'll be bad, but don't expect us to look like last year.

Yeah, I don't think we'll be BAD, but losing Willis hurts. Need Nesta & other DTs to step up.

The first comment you come with is filled with homesexual overtones 🤦🏽‍♂️🙄👀

Man my cousins lives in crown heights/ bushwich and brownsville I was going up there in the 90s and 2000s and just don't go as much. I use to go to skate key in the bronx before it got blooded out.

Go to bed seriously. Ain't gong the back and forth

The team packed it in after Rosier's 50th INT.
I wouldn't take much away from that one.

We've lost 7 of the last 8 games we played in sub 50 degree weather: PITT, CLEM, WIS, BC, UVA, GT, VT, WIS.

In 2019 we play 9 games in Florida, with the only possible cold weather games against Pitt, and maybe Duke or UNC. UF, FIU, FSU are sure to be warm.

If and when we get back to being a very good team, weather will not be an issue.

Look princess, if you think NYC is a ****** destination, there's nothing you can say that warrants my time or input.

But I'd also guess you've never been there, and if you did, it was to eat some Sbarro in Times' Square like the rest of the callow fools that want to experience "big city life."

Would be surprised if it didn't take a step back, as compared to its ACC peers, but there's still hope we land a Transfer DT and can somehow stay healthy at thin spots. If Bolden is what he's supposed to be, Back 7 should be ok. We can also get lucky and see a massive leap from a couple of the young DTs.

Been there, done that - skipped on the t-shirt. Thanks for time and input, that wasn't warranted.
