I think the defense will be a lot better than people think.

I do not expect a huge drop off but I think Top 20 is reasonable. I also think it is reasonable our offense moves from 104th in the country to above 60th which still sucks however the impact on our defense not being constantly put into ****** situations should help.

Silvera, Ford and Miller need to take big steps forward.

I say still top 20. Secondary is unproven but talented with mostly a year to prepare with very good coaching. Linebackers/striker will do work and the dline will take a hit because Nesta may be great but G-Dub had top 5 dt season in history type **** so I think it'll be a drop off plus Joe was so important that it'll be a drop off there too but all in all the talent and coaching won't let us fall off too much

Honestly depends what we get out of our interior Dline. If Nesta can come in and be the guy we all hope he is then we should be good. I think top 20.

DT play will be the key next year. Nesta and others have to ball out. If they do that, the defense will be very good. There's no question Gerald Willis will be missed. He played at an All American level. I'm highly confident the rest of the D will be stout. We badly need stout DT play though. The offense will certainly be more productive and that will also help big time.

Problem is the scheme is susceptible to getting burned for big yardage plays AS IT IS. You add inexperience at S and we're looking at plenty of busts next season. Then add the fact I don't think I've ever seen Carter try to wrap someone up.... not good.

He's good but he's nowhere near what Willis was last season yet.

I think we are gonna be fine on D. some is those kids growing up will be more mature. I think nests gonna be meaner than Willis. We have experience in the secondary too. That said I hope I don't regret all this talk
