1) They don’t run to Bain’s side as frequently because he’s our best player.
2) The job of the DE isnt always to make the tackle often times it’s to contain the edge and force the RB into the numbers of our defense and that means they don’t always make the tackle.
He hasn’t been bad he just is not as consistent as Bain and sometimes tries too hard to make a play but doesn’t do his assignment which can lead to a big play against us (also doesn’t show up in the stat sheet). I love Mesidor but you’re just wrong if you think he and Bain are equal against the run

Depending on how he tests at the combine, I think that he could be anywhere from a late 1st round pick to a 2nd round pick. He is relentless and has advanced pass rush moves and good bend. He’ll be a steal for whoever drafts him.

2nd rd draft grade would be amazing. I think a lot of our guys should skip the combine and pro day athleticism testing.

Maugoia, CJ, Bain, Mesidor, Keionte are the sure fire draftees. Beck, Fletcher, Toure, Blay, Coop, Bell, Marion are not guaranteed to be chosen and/or their fates will be VERY dependent on combine & pro day performances.

“He never quits” is not validated on film. He goes 100 mph when he can and then gasses himself and takes plays off until he can sub out.
It could have been the foot/ankle thing but he gave up a TD to (I think it was) SMU from loafing, big play popped against Syracuse after he got a sack and ran 20 yards to celebrate and then realized he had to lineup again and they ran right at him the next play and he could barely move.

I thought Toure would perform better than Kiko maybe at Shaq's level. Turns out he's more limited than Kiko athletically and slightly less cerebral and intuitive as Shaq. Great glue guy though, hard to find MLBs like him, and we look a lot better on defense when he's out there. I expect he'll sneak into the 6-7.
