How exactly did we get sucked into this?

When the Big10 announced their schedule, we couldn't fit in because we already had Notre Dame penciled in and the ACC overlapped conference games. We had to move on and find another, they didn't want to throw in another FCS team, wanted a respectable opponent and App State was about the only one that fit that description. App State already had 6 road games and wouldn't agree to play away. In that process of negotiating with App State all the other FBS schools filled their schedules and we had no choice unless we wanted to add another FCS opponent.

(My uncle is a golden cane and called the athletic dept raising **** about the game and this is the answer he received and passed to me a while back)

THIS

FSU had the same situation with West VA cancelling a game due to a move to a 9-game Conf Schedule.

FSU, of course, scheduled a 2nd FCS team rather than go on the road somewhere like app st

I'm all fairness, Foote did come around towards the end of his time here.

They are not clowns. Beautiful area, good people. I will bet that the fans and citizens treat Hurricane fans better than anywhere else.

Y'all say its their Super Bowl. It is. Its an event. And they have Miami to thank for putting them on center stage.

If they were couch burners, or ****, just regular fans, their kicker would be tied up with rope and cinder bricks and at the bottom of the local swamp.

Names & avatars, like re-tweets, do not necessarily equal endorsements. I'm going to take your misunderstanding of that as such and not as some sort of defense of Shalala so as to avoid everyone some undesirable headaches.

Sucked into this??? Well, I guess our AD knew that you guys needed a game and we had one open. We could have offered a home and home with App going down there first but then as usually happens, when it comes to returning the favor, the bigger team usually renigs and does a buyout. So, you might say App's AD played the better hand. As for some of you...lets just say, upset fans...those that are in the depths of despair that such a team of regal status be burdened to play such a backwoods town...we do apologize a million Times over and over again! We understand that it takes time to grow to your level...we hillbillies aspire for the "sold out" games y'all have on your campus...it is on campus I assume! We eagerly will look forward to reading the local papers, hoping to learn that our star players have been arrested for assault or cocaine possession or maybe accepting cash from donors. I honestly can't wait for the day ESPN does an expose on our school and how we lost scholarships because of a crooked booster..we want a Nevin Shapiro...we really do! We want to be just like Miami! We want riots, Zika, racial unrest...drug wars and gangs and bars on our doors and windows. I so look forward to those days to come! I misplaced my house keys for 6 years and worried about finding them roughly once...maybe twice when I was really paranoid. You're right...Boone is so Podunk, I mean..between 1999 and 2008, we had only 5 murders...I mean, cmon...we can do better than that! You guys had nearly 700 murders during the same period! Awesome!!! Way to get after it!!! But watch out, we had one last year...none as of yet this year but hey, we still have a few months...maybe we will double last years number...fingers crossed.
Now, if y'all are done (some of you) talking trash about your teams host school and stadium, then maybe we can discuss X's and O's and even recommend a few places for you guys to hang out before and after the game. I think y'all will find us to be some of the most hospitable and polite fans you will ever run across. Otherwise, this hillbilly will just go back to making my meth, while jumping creeks in the General Lee and daydreaming about the bright lights of Liberty City and re-runs of Miami Vice.
