How Does Art BrIles and Gary Patterson do it??

Its easy. You participate in a conference where the mid range teams all leave for other conferences (Nebraska, A&M, Missouri, and Colorado) and the bottom feeders are perceived to be good since they dont have a real schedule anymore. It is the same thing that happened to the big east when Miami and Va Tech left. USF, West Virginia, Rutgers all became ranked by playing weak non conference schedules and there werent dominant teams to beat them anymore.

Another reasons great loyal fans who care more about their school rather than win loss record.Another
great coach Jerry Kill at Minnesota.Terrible teams in past, now a staff very loyal to Kill, great fans who
stuck with Minn year after year.
Yes,you will get rid of Golden and turn the staff over, but what kind of a coach would want to
follow Coker,Shannon and Golden?Take a look at attendance for Pitt game. That pathetic crowd
does not happen at TCU,Baylor and Minn.

We would have wanted Patterson fired after 7-6 and 4-8

Lol I know he crushed the mwc, but people here would have absolutely wanted him fired after 7 and 6 and 4 and 8. And if they say they wouldn't they're liars or hypocrites. And for the record, al should be gone after that UVA debacle.
He wouldn't have had those down years here, dopey. He had to adjust to move up to play the big boys in the Big 12, and he did just that. He'd be the big boy here.

Those great loyal fans weren't very great or loyal while TCU and Baylor were losing. I swear my pumpkin pie is smarter than the Folden faqqots on here.

Starts with a sound system and then finding players to fit that system.

In the case of Patterson it means being willing to make changes when you need to ie moving from a running more conservative offense to spread scheme.

Baylor has a brand newCorn stadium and TCU upgraded from the ground up. You know, large state schools with huge alumni bases.... oh wait....

None of that BullSh*t matters on Saturdays.

Them Mother ***as can coach.......simply put.

At Miami, the so called "Cloud" matters, game time matters, the opposition's halftime adjustments matters and the price of Corn matters on Saturdays.

Fly The F*cking Banner......

Football infrastructure matters. It matters for recruiting and attracting great coaches. It matters for how much money a program can make, sell as advertising and sponsors. But if you believe that playing in a 2/3rd's empty stadium that we dont own vs. having your own stadium and selling it out and having a great college atmosphere has no affect, more power to you.

Some of us played in a 2/3 empty OB but at season's end were crowned National Champions.

I get what you are saying, but that Sh*t doesn't apply to UM football.

UM is not the only show in town like most college football towns.

Now, those are facts that are indisputable, Homey

You guys are taking this beyond what it is. If this exact group of people on this board were all TCU fans, they would have wanted him fired after those seasons. That's the only point I was making.

We have never had a decent administration. We have had some great coaching, some decent coaching, some crappy coaching for great talent in history and won NCs. We just need the administration to hire real football coach and let him win.

That depends. Has he already been our coach for 11 seasons and won 10+ in 8 of those years?

Or are we considering those 2012 and 2013 seasons his first two at the school? Because it's not the same situation.

And regardless, I don't think the fan base would turn on him after such a long track record of being successful.
