I guess letting it rip didn’t change things
I asked this in a separate thread to some posters, and even started an embarrassing thread about Beck and audibles (got no responses lol), but to your point, I was wondering if it was one or the other, but this makes alot of sense that it's a combo.. Wondering if this was the case at UGA.Some of it is on getting the play in and some of it’s on Beck and what he’s seeing in pre snap. Ironically he never audibles . That’s what made the offense so good last year , Cam was always changing the play by coverage . Beck isn’t confident enough on what he’s seeing .
Your asking them to play tuff, fyzical, and fast? Next thing you will want them to let it rip.I don't get why we don't play offense with pace.
The team with the better players/athletes should always want the maximum amount of plays in a game.
Team have figured out they can crowd the box with the front 7 and then drop the safeties deep post snap and Dawson has zero answer.
Which is wild because how many times yesterday did he call hold and step forward to the LoS like he’s changing the play. Curious as to what he’s saying. Cant just be confirming blocking schemes because we don’t do anything different. Some of it is on getting the play in and some of it’s on Beck and what he’s seeing in pre snap. We needed a trick play to score , with the greatest OL in CFB LMAO.Even the scripted stuff looked painful.
"Why does a funeral procession run through red lights? What's the hurry?"- Jerry LawlerI still don’t get this one. Why would we want more plays at 5.5 yards a play? In theory you’re right. But our offense sucks. Sucking faster isn’t necessarily great. But just do something different than what you’ve been doing for 9 weeks that isn’t working. I mean, that’s some earth shattering ****.

Unbelievable inept. We come out of timeouts huddled, waiting for a play to be called in.
There were moments where Dawson's tendencies showed through out the game but honestly Trader was responsible for the death of three of our drives in the first half. He loafed on a deep cross and Beck caught the heat on the throw but if you watch the replay trader lazily breaks and then doesnt finish his route with effort. He didn't work back the the ball strong enough on another intermediate hook route and then dropped a mesh crosser that would have been a big play. Trader killed the offense in the first half.
And not just his play but attitude. One minute he's upset/depressed with his eyes looking up at the sky and then he scores and celebrates like we won the nc,doing all these finger gestures. Not what you expect from a 6th year SR.If your qb is Beckyl and Hyde your offense will be too.
Yeah. It’s called adjustments.First half drives
7 plays 20 yards 3:32
10 plays 37 yards 6:09
4 plays 9 yards 1:23
3 plays 6 yards - run run pass punt. 1:28
5 plays 90 yards TD (41 on a tunnel screen) 3:08
The play calling and pace in the first half was atrocious. Keep in mind the 41 yard tunnel screen was on 2nd and 12. I’d like to see a chart on how effective that play has been these last 4 weeks. That’s your call on 2nd and 12? Yeah it hit but to me it’s not a great call. Especially considering we threw the ball downfield (+10 yards)about 2x prior to that call. 29 plays 162 yards in 15:40 TOP. Against one of the worst P4 defenses out there.
2nd half drives
3 plays 78 yards TD (61 yd to Marion, good call) 1:08
9 plays 83 yards TD (good balanced drive, Pringle time) 4:52
4 plays 5 yards 1:28. This was coming off a pick that gave us the ball at their 30. 2 A gap dives and a pass on 3rd and +7. After the previous drive where we moved the ball cleanly with balance, first down throws, outside runs, etc. and we come back with that drive? Terrible
6 plays 15 yards 3:44. Again a terrible series. Slow plodding A gap runs and short check down passes.
5 plays 51 yards TD to Mauigoa. 2:56
There was some belief that we played with more tempo in the second half. Looking at the numbers it was actually the same slow pace, 30+ seconds to get a play in and snap it. To me the numbers don’t lie. Anyone who thinks yesterday somehow solved anything are mistaken. About the only thing we learned yesterday was that we have some skill guys who haven’t seen the field for some reason.
Mirabal has way too much input for a GD OL coach.

I guess.protection calls
So we adjusted for 2 drives and then adjusted back to what doesn’t work?Yeah. It’s called adjustments.

If we come out flat for the first 25 minutes again, we’re gonna loseNc State has a good offense.
We are going to have a tough time keeping up, not because they will out 35+ on us, but because our offense is so bad that we have trouble scoring 20+ points vs teams that have good offenses.
I can’t believe you had to type that and not because you are wrong. It’s the reality and can’t believe we are back to TVD type of ****.It’s obvious they don’t trust Beck enough to open up the offense any more than what it is.
