Hotels ND and Clemson

South Bend rates probably still sky high so not staying there but driving over from OH so I will stay in Mishawaka.

Only been to Clemson once and we drove in from ATL

I wanted to go to that UNC game so I can visit my family. Back to back weekend trips, my wife is going to kill me especially with me going to the ND game.

Gotta pick my fights especially for playoff time because we ware going to be in the ******* playoffs.

Or, I fly and spend the whole week up in NC?

I booked an AirBnB in South Bend. It's pricey, but I got a house...

I'll be flying into Chicago... I'm a foodie so I'm gonna hit this spot:

Depending on when I arrive in Chicago, I'll either do more stuff, or just drive to South Bend.

All depends on the traffic (I know, lots of traffic).

Really good beef. Don’t forget to get pizza too.

Might just
Have to park my hotel at the closest TA or Loves and rent a vehicle to go to South Bend. Most of the other games seem like hass right now. I only made 1 game this past season. Have to do better next season. Been working like a slave.

Booked my hotel for ND somewhere in Indiana. I go to Chicago 3-4 times a year as it is so I will pass this time for some laid back chill time. I may change my mind if friends are going.

I live in the South Bend area and have ND season tickets. Glad to try to answer any questions.

The hotels nearest to campus are all good options but likely very expensive and require 2 night minimums:
-Morris Inn (Notre Dame Ave - on campus - probably impossible for this game - opposing teams usually stay there)
-Embassy Suites (Angela Blvd/Eddy Street Commons - easy walking distance)
-Fairfield Inn (Angela Blvd/Eddy Street Commons - easy walking distance)
-Inn at St. Mary’s (SR 933 - walkable but quite a long walk)
-Hilton Garden Inn (SR 933 - walkable but quite a long walk)

Farther north on 933, I would avoid most of them except maybe the Homewood and Springhill.

Going south into downtown SB there are a few options: Doubletree, Aloft, and Courtyard. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend staying downtown.

There is a Four Winds (tribal) casino and hotel on the SW side of town. Nice enough property but there is not much nearby.

Most of the Mishawaka hotels are good, especially in the Main Street/Grape Road shopping corridor.

Rent Like a Champion can be a good option if you have a larger party and want to rent a house.

I'm staying in Hammond, Indiana for ND because I have lined up a site visit for work at a warehouse we have there. Right in the middle of Chicago/South Bend. I will probably be spending the night out Friday in Chicago and wouldn't mind staying there. Never been.

For Clemson, I always stay in Greenville SC. About 45 min out and a straight shot on gameday. Stuff to do and decent hotels in the downtown area. We did the Hyatt Regency last time we went to Greenville and will probably stay there again. I think we did the Courtyard in downtown right on the water last time we were there for the game against Clemson.
Most of Hammond is a little sketchy. Steel town like Gary. Probably better off staying in Chicago.

River North is the best spot in Chicago or the northernmost part of the Loop just across the river from River North (London House, Swissotel, St. Regis). The Loop overall is a ghost town on the weekends.

I’m on company $ Tuesday night-Thursday night so it will have to be in Hammond.

Might move over to Chicago on Friday night on my own dime after work if I’m feeling like making my way over there.
