Oh, they got a guy complicit with rape?

They bock.

In other news, Briles was at the local gun store buying shotguns for his offensive line, seeing as that was the only way his pass blocking game can improve.

I think laborn will be better personally than Akers. I’ve never liked Akers and being saying it. I’ve stood on the hill saying homer was better than Akers for the last year or so too. I dont See the explosiveness for an “elite” back and certainly his production isn’t good. He’s overhyped imo. Yes he has a shtty line but he’s not the only one or first rb to have a ****** oline and still be productive. They had a better qb than us last year in all aspects and he still was shtty
Akers
2017 5.3 ypc 1025 yards 7 tds
2018 4.4 ypc 706 yards 6 tds

Homer
2017 5.9 ypc 966 yards 8 tds
2018 6.0 ypc 985 yards 4 tds

Again, you're looking at production only. And yes, that's the most important thing. Good players produce. But this isn't apples to apples.

Akers had the 2nd highest rate of runs stopped for no gain or a loss in all of P5 (26.5%). Much of that is not his fault, although I will agree that his vision does seem to be a weakness. He played QB in HS, and I'm not sure he's a very natural runner yet.

Also, there were only 2 P5 backs in the whole country who averaged less than 1 yard before contact last year. Akers and Patrick. That's insane.

Akers will be much more productive this year, there's no question. I won't say flourish, because I'm still skeptical about that OL and I don't see Blackman's fit in Briles offense, but Akers will be much more productive this season under a coach who has a brain in his head. Willie is real life retarded, and their OL was literally the worst P5 OL I've ever seen in my life last year. Akers will approach 1500 total yards from scrimmage under Briles. He's a good receiver, too, and was woefully under-utilized in that role too under that bozo last year.

Again, please post the source of these diagrams and again I am betting it is from an FSU site.

Also, take a **** offense, against a **** schedule, and making them better. Is this not the EXACT SAME ARGUMENT you just made for fans thinking Enos is better than he is? "there will be a lot of fans thinking he is great because of how abysmal our offense looked under Richt "

FAU 76th or 80th in total offense (depending on which metric you use) Pre Briles... Best win: Akron in the bowl game? Maybe? Old Dominion? They got toasted by Navy 42-19

Houston 65th or 70th in total offense (again depending on which metric you use) Pre briles... Best win: Arizona? Maybe? Navy? Got toasted by Army 70-14....

So in a year if I show you the same diagram with Enos improving Miami in essentially every metric does this catapult him into top 3 territory?

FSU is still lacking in QB talent and Oline talent. Jimbo, Willie, and Walt Bell could not overcome this. As good as Briles is, he wont be able to overcome this lack of talent in one year either.

(Law 15 in the 48 Laws of Power: Crush Your Enemy Totally)

The best OC hire in the P5 Florida programs was FSU, not Miami. Briles is one of the best, if not the best, OC's in CFB.

While I think Enos is a good hire, there will be a lot of fans thinking he is great because of how abysmal our offense looked under Richt, and that's okay because all we need is a good offense to compliment our great defense to make an elite team. Enos may be a top 15 OC but he is not top 3 like a Briles.

My point is, is that FSU is a sleeping giant just like Miami. Both teams are loaded with talent and have potential through the roof. I see a lot of ppl underestimating FSU and that's the worst thing u can do, especially underestimating a rival. U must crush your enemy totally. Never let up off their necks.

Go Canes 🙌🏼
Well when your qb, o line, and TE positions are non existent of talent, along with a career losing coach, you tend to doubt them a bit, but they should be better than last year. If Enos makes this offense viable we'll smoke them come November.

You know who else had an unstoppable offense at the G5 level? Willie Taggart.

He didn't even make it through one season before giving up his play calling duties.

He scrapped HIS offense to bring in a new coach because the stuff he was doing at USF that was scoring 50 points a game, didn't work against actual defenses.

Some of you guys have to learn to stop crowing small school coaches before they ever actually win anything.

FSU has more wide receiver coaches than scholarship quarterbacks.

You’re very conveniently ignoring just how poorly Taggart has been managing both the roster and coaching staff. As of today they are now stuck with TWO WR coaches because of Willie’s incompetence. On top of that, they have 1 scholarship QB on the roster behind an already poor O-Line with even poorer depth. I don’t care how good Briles is or you think he is, that’s a recipe for disaster. How can Briles do his thing when Taggart hasn’t signed a QB since he got there. Poor roster management to say the least.

Whether u take my hot takes seriously or not is irrelevant to me to be honest. Clearly AD's, coaches, and players have a lot more respect for Willie than some of u naive fans.
What has Willie ever done to warrant this incredible respect you say people have for him? Was it winning some games at USF that you're so impressed by? Or was it going sub-.500 and getting blown out by every good team he faced in his one year as a P5 coach?

Willie is the most overrated coach in the country. He is a joke and he'll be canned in Tally within the next 2 seasons. Meanwhile they have a toothpick at QB and if (when?) he gets hurt, they may be pulling dudes out of the stands to line up under center. But yeah, I'm terrified of this sleeping giant in Tallahassee! GTFO

And if they indeed land Alex hornibrook that’s another terrible scheme fit. They needed a qb like tate martell in that system but they obviously don’t have the appeal Miami has. As you said they will be better on offense, but their personnel imo isn’t as good as it was in the past, cam Akers is STILL *** and the defense will still be trash with no playmakers on the edge and a steep drop off without Brian burns
Yep, losing Burns will be a huge loss for them. Aside from clemson, uf, and us which should be losses, they have to play a vastly improving Syracuse squad and a well coached Virginia team on the road. They can easily be 7-5, 8-4 is their ceiling if all goes well for them.

Imagine the shock that a dude who openly thinks about giving schlock-na-hona would post some suck off that panhandle school from up North ish!

there's a dude defending willie taggert? the FSU trolls gotta stop bc even FSUs own fanbase hates willy and know hes going to be axed

Didn’t Briles get fired?
Wasn’t everyone on Kliff Kingsbury when he got let go?

Too early in the morning for hot takes

What's the purpose of this nonsense? Ok, FSU has been and will remain Miami's biggest rival. Of course, can never sleep on a rival. No ****.

FSU had there reign of success, there definitely not a sleeping giant. Once Jimbo left that program took a turn for the worse.

He’s been smart enough to get out before he falls on his face.

Let's seeeeee...

He improved Oregon's record from the year before.

Had a top 5 recruiting class.

Had a QB that's projected to go in the 1st Rd. of this year's & next year's draft.

Would've had another top 5 class if He stayed at Oregon.

Had Phil Knight's backing = job security.

None of the above sounds like somebody that's about to fall on His face.

LOL, Taggart had everything going for Him at Oregon, seems to me He did FSU a favor by taking that job.
