Those interviews get interrupted probably 90% of the time. Someone always comes running up. Happens with every sport.
 
Some so-called men on here and online in general are threatened by a woman existing and doing her job. She doesn't have to look attractive for you, either. No woman on TV or movies owes you to actually look any certain way. That is some fragile thinking and weak little boy ego ish on y'all's part.

Having a problem with the substance of what she asks - sure thing. You don't like the actual way she does her job - also fine. Those opinions are more than valid to hold.

But all this other junk...y'all ought to be ashamed. If someone was talking about any woman that is either related to you or is your partner, you'd be up in arms about it. This woman deserves that same base level of respect. But some of y'all don't see women as deserving of that respect because you think they're supposed to be somehow less than...makes me sad for you guys. Grow the fvck up.

The less hot the sideline reporter is, the less leeway they get. It’s a sliding scale and unfortunately in this situation, the scale both literally and figuratively is tipped all the way in one direction.

I'm a dinosaur, while I'm good with Hispanic Weather girls, I've never been fond of the hot sideline reporter. It's like some alien bridge between a savannah of cheerleaders and the sanctity of the gridiron. But I came to appreciate and like Holly Rowe over the years. You don't think she knows what she's up against? She has to be better. If her hair is out of place she just keeps on going and seems to ask far better questions than most. She got a chance in Football. Not many networks follow suit with their broadcast teams or anchors - but they're just cue card readers.

She's an actual reporter. Maybe not to the level of Jack Arute, or maybe I'm just being nostalgic.

Curious, do you get offended when CIS posters makes fun of the physical attributes or issues of other coaches, male announcers, male analysts/commentators?

Why are they fair game, but not a female sideline commentator?

It’s really sad. A lot of these dudes have disdain for women. But since this CIS they are all alphas that still pull nothing less than an 8.5.
 
This weekend my wife did comment that the "sideline reporters" for college games have "aged". So, I Googled a few and she is right. Most of the former hotties are now in their 50s. They still look good and perhaps more "professional" now then when they were in their 20s. Holly on the other hand has gotten more self-centered and seems to want to "be" the story. And before every woman here jumps on me-I admit that I like Doris Burke doing hoops.

To be fair, many on this forum has also taken gratuitous shots at many male coaches and media personalities over the years.
Just last week Mike Elko was cited for "eating" his competition and someone offered a comparison to Mark Mangino who was grossly
overweight, at least during his coaching days.
We also laughed at Bellichik's "man ****" and at least one of former S&C guys who was obese.
We also laugh at Coach Mike Norvell for his cornrows.
I agree that some of the female media personalities probably get unfair treatment and that's not good.
But the guys get some stick as well.
