Looks like we had the highest graded PFF graded power 5 OLine after week 1 with a 93.5 grade.

This was pretty evident upon rewatch. We were just clearing guys out of holes with ease.

Obviously opponent was just Bethune, so we shouldn’t take too much out of it. But it’s still a great sign. A couple years from now this OLine is going to be full of monsters

Encouraging, however, let's not get crazy.

They have been so awful for so long, much ground to cover.

I know its one game and bethune but what happens to jcamp when zion gets back?

I want to see how zion run blocks this year.

Scaife actually looked comfortable at RT so does jcamp just redshirt and start at LT next year if zion stays healthy for the year?

Mario has said he’s one of our best players and i can see why. It was a battle with zion before he got hurt last year if I remember correctly.

Campbell has already used his redshirt in 2018. He’s a 5th year junior. I guess he and Justice rotate at G would be my guess.

Thanks, so he has one more year right? **** is confusing with the medical redshirts and that covid year
I mean he missed all of last year with the knee injury he could really apply for another year if he really wanted to. But yes he has 1 year left after this year. I’d assume if Zion leaves early he takes his spot.

Not trying to jump ahead but Scaife and Justice are done after this year and if Zion does well he’s gone. So Clark, Campbell, and Rivers would be our returning guys.

Yes, 1 more year.

Appreciate it, getting jcamp rivers and jakai back next year would be great. Even tho we could possibly get two play early tackles its a hard transition from high school to D1 ball

And we would still have Denis and Logan. McCoy, and Cooper have big potential. Francis and if we snag Samson would definitely be in the rotation day 1.

Anez and Francis competing on the right side vs. Denis/Logan/McCoy. Plus the combo of Campbell/Rivers/Jakai as presumed starters. Could start to look dominant real quick.

But for right now. This season. I am optimistic this OL can be a top 3 ACC OL. Gotta just keep grinding.

Yes sir give it another cycle or two and we should have one of the best groups in the ACC and hopefully the country in a couple of years. Stay healthy and keep grinding.

I'm in the "it's just Bethune" crowd, but I'll just add that lots of other teams played cupcakes last weekend. I don't think this tells us a ton about what to expect vs ATMs DL, but it's still good news. It's safe to say we've never graded this high against the Bethunes of the world in the past, so hopefully, that's progress.

Said this Saturday they TVD and Garcia did not get hit once and we did not get stuffed on 3rd and short. At least a few times in past years against these teams that stuff happens.
