Highest PFF P5 graded OLine -wk1

The grade that matters is A&M, Clemson and other programs with a pulse. Until then, let’s shut this down.
I think this week will be telling. S. Miss obviously isn't Clemson or A&M, but there D has a pulse. For the last several years we have failed to impose our will on any team with a decent DL.

Anez and Francis competing on the right side vs. Denis/Logan/McCoy. Plus the combo of Campbell/Rivers/Jakai as presumed starters. Could start to look dominant real quick.

But for right now. This season. I am optimistic this OL can be a top 3 ACC OL. Gotta just keep grinding.
Wait, who's got a better OLine in the ACC?

No doubt. Not much to take away though with all the changes on offense with philosophy it was a good sign to see us not have any hiccups

The coaching was clearly on point in the off season
While it doesn't guarantee we will be dominant or even better on offense, it's a good sign that we executed at an efficiency level that we haven't been able to in a long time, even when playing other FCS teams in the past.

Not that Southern Miss is some tall task, no offense to them, but if our offense has a similar performance and looks to execute the offense effortlessly at times, it will be another positive sign that things may actually be improved. It would inspire more confidence going into the game vs 8&4. Of course, no one game dictates how your entire season will go and we could not show up at all in Texas, then play well the rest of the season or vice versa, but we've seen over the years our team struggle against teams they shouldn't be at all, so if we are finally executing like we should against teams we out talent, that's a good step forward for the program.

I agree

I mean we did what we were supposed to do. Didn’t seem to happen a lot these last few years

A lot of new changes, arguably our top OL and RB not playing etc

Yes it’s Bethune but it’s also ok to look at it as a positive haha

That's still TBD, in my opinion. But I think it's safe to say the general industry consensus before week 1 was that Pitt, UL, Clemson were the top 3 OLs in the ACC this season. Some people even had WF and NC State ahead of our OL. Overall, I think our OL was probably being slept on some.
