A report surfaced Tuesday evening that South Carolina has reached an agreement in principle with Houston head coach Tom Herman, contingent on all going as expected once the two sides meet in person.

However, South Carolina athletics director Ray Tanner refuted that report when asked.

“It's absolutely not true," Tanner said in a brief interview with John Whittle of TheBigSpur.com and Josh Kendall of The State newspaper.

Interviewing there per Reddit and a couple of outlets, "next week." Zero other indication he jumped ship from any outlets but who knows, media sucks. I'll let OP clarify.
