Here's what I know

The labor shortage is real, not just at restaurants.
In Germany, we actually have the same problem for restaurants. A lot of these jobs are help jobs where you dont need that much qualification. Other job areas pay more for help jobs, so thats where a lot of the people go.

Swinney actually has red flags tho lol. This fan base loves him bc he hires unqualified former players 😂

I've said it in other places, there are different standards for "retaining" and "hiring". Not all red flags are created equal.

If Swinney ever wants to come to UM from Clemson, then we can re-discuss this in earnest!

"Red flag coaches" find the best reception at SEC schools. Or wannabe-SEC schools (Clemson). Or schools that are desperate to win (Liberty).

I don't know how it is in every country, but it was my understanding that most European countries have a more "living-wage/not-as-dependent-on-tips" pay structure for restaurant workers.

In the US, it is particularly bad, since most table-service restaurants (a) pay below minimum wage to wait staff (and expect the differential to be made up for in tips), (b) frequently do not offer healthcare, and/or (c) often cut hours in a way that makes it difficult to hit 40 hours and/or qualify for healthcare coverage even if it is offered. Some things are FINALLY changing post-Covid, but not everywhere, not fast enough, and not "permanently".

I pay a lot of attention to Clemson since I live here (sad times), but I love talking **** to their fans. Interested to see if he can “right the ship.” Their oline coach is supposedly retiring soon and Swinney is looking to hire a former player in his spot. They have a few issues going on. 1) Their offense is built like the 90s fsu. Tall wrs that can’t get any separation that the qb just tosses it up to. The difference in years past is they always had a pretty shifty slot guy, but not this year. They haven’t recruited typically well at rb. I know they got Bowman, but he transferred. Shipley is a freshman so I won’t be harsh with him, but doesn’t pop off the screen like Etienne did as a freshman. If Swinney goes back to 7-9 win seasons as Clemson is historically known for. Is he still a hot commodity? Time will tell. Side note, they don’t evaluate like they used to. They def took the Jimbo route and target stars over their evals unlike years past.

Its pretty much how you described it. Minimum wage surely has helped this industry here, although restaurants actually pay a bit over it. Its still less compared to others.

Germans tip because its an unwritten rule that you have to follow. We dont tip because they need it, we tip because we know how hard the job is and give some extra appreciation.

But man, reading your stuff regarding this makes my stomach turn.

Worked up in Greenville/Simpsonville for nearly a year, I really enjoyed the area. My youngest brother now lives outside of Charlotte, I drove up for the UM-UNC game and took him and my nephews to the game (awesome until the last few seconds).

I think Dabo will still be a hot commodity. He needs to consider setting up his own coaching rehab clinic. I think he is held back a bit by not embracing a bit of turnover and "outside influence", particularly with what you are saying on offense (defense has been solid).

I used to work with someone who was a classmate of Dabo's at Alabama, she loves him and hopes he takes the job after Nick. Alabama isn't going to "red flag" one of their own alums.

Nice, I’m 15 mins out of Greenville and 20 mins from Clemson. He may start doing that bc he is starting to catch some heat with some of his recent hires/promotions. I’ve always believed once the Alabama job opened up, he was gone. Clemson fans think otherwise, but that’s bc they’re unbelievably arrogant. That university is done if they do lose Dabo. I have no reason to believe they’ll make the right hire if he leaves. Once they lost Danny Ford, it was bad hire after bad hire. Tommy Bowden wasn’t exactly bad, but he wasn’t Dabo. They honestly got lucky that Dabo fell into their lap. If he doesn’t beat SCAR as the interim HC in 2008 then they were going to look elsewhere. They nearly got rid of him after the 2010 season and if he had lost 6 straight to SCAR, they were going to fire him then. That being said, I just can’t see Clemson doing anything if/when Dabo dips for Alabama.

Is there a fact anywhere in your fantasy conspiracy theory or is the entire basis of your latest circle jerk another TFWIW fabrication heard 10th hand on another site?

Lmao. Grow up dude.
One of these days you’ll man up, and you’ll learn to take your L’s like a man.

It’s okay to be wrong. Everyone is human. You come off as a narcissistic prick when you try to ridicule others while constantly being wrong.

I’ll give you an example:

I wasn’t on team TVD to begin with. I thought that Garcia was the better QB though spring and fall. After TVD’s first couple of full starts, I was concerned and said that I didn’t see it. @RedSquare stuck by his guns, and he was 100% right on.

On another thread, I manned up and told him that I was wrong about TVD about 3 weeks ago. I’m glad that I was wrong. Kid is doing great things, and he’s just a FR.

You could learn a thing or two about humility.

I just received an update and this is very on point.

I was told that AD candidate and UM (frenks chosen ppl) did agree in principle to a deal.

And now, there is a civil war between the BOT members who care about sports and the old BOT who don't give a crap about sports but only UM appearance.
Well, that explains the holdup. But thats actually good. It forces the old bags out of there and we can slim the BOT a little bit. Frenks guys support it, the powerful BOTs support it, so this is civil war, but the good ones have the weapons here.

Cribby just spews click bait. I can't believe all of you fall for it. Maybe one day you boys will grow up and realize these fools don't know crap and just tickle your nut saks hoping you fall for it.
I am guessing @Cribby stole your girlfriend once. It's cool, I get it. Thanks for your insight, would definitely read it again!
