Here's what I know

Bigger issue here is why we let the BOT have such a big influence on all these decisions. I understand that’s where the big money is, but that’s not a normal thing from my understanding. Especially the head coach decision…you bring in the AD you want (it really needs to be Jurich at this point, fuqq whatever anyone else is suggesting), and you let him do his **** job people. He interviews candidates and he makes the decision.

We need to stop with this all powerful BOT shi*. It reeks of corruption, over influence, side deals, and it hasn’t ended well for us when it comes to job searches this millennia. We need to go back to how it’s supposed to work, a la Jankovich in the 80’s. Yes, he’d ask the trustees for the funds necessary, but he’d make these **** decisions, not them. I hate that one faction of the BOT is gonna push their own candidate, just reeks of favoritism and protecting their “boys”.

Not a good look imo.

You know me i‘m definitely click bait. Beens this is my thread . and there’s nothing to click on. Some idiots need to learn what they’re talking about. Click bait is when you put a controversial or **** title to a thread / article to get “ clicks ” hence click bait. People that get money on views or content do that. If I wanted click bait I could’ve made a thread on James Williams being out for the year and was getting surgery. But instead I just dropped in a couple threads.

@Man Of Steel at least have your crap together before you tug on my cape. Clark Kent at least fact checked.

I’m on a deer stand with AOL dial up signal. I’ve had to cypher through the past 2 days, hoping to get a page with legit info/talk instead CIS HoRt TaRkes or Rabbit hole convos about black cleats, crank sizes, vax mandates or 38k taRkes of why we can do better than Mario & Lane. Good thing we are Miami.. If I was a Gata I wouldn’t be able to keep up.

How do you hold people accountable when you’re always hiring “your boys” from Columbus? The favoritism this BOT is showing is a bad look peeps, and it never ends well imo. Hire the best people for those positions, regardless what fuqqin high school they went to…I swear man, only at Miami where some dumb shi* like this happens.

We have so much potential, but we gotta let the Columbus boys run the show. Ya makes sense. Hire Jurich, he is CLEARLY the most qualified, and let him pick his head coach. These MF’ers don’t know how it’s supposed to work at a major college football program apparently.

If this is going on as long as it has been said then a background check is probably done already. If not Jurichs name probably wouldn’t be in contention in the first place.

this extremely off topic but it's not new post worthy either. I have a question for the movie buffs. there was a movie that came out in the 90's with a talking watermelon and a girl in it. I can't find the name of the movie anywhere on Google. I know that is vague but it's all I remember. if someone could tell me the name I would appreciate it.

It sounds like there is a ton of momentum to have Alonzo H brought on board. One component that has never been made clear, and especially with someone like Jurich potentially being hired as AD, what is your understanding of Alonzo’s role?

I stated this in another thread that the majority on CIS assume the football program gets completely carved out and handed to Zo to run. I have a differing opinion on Zo’s scope of responsibility and focus

Which I knew because I have tried to put one or two on ignore previously for trolling or licking FSU balls…

A background check in its length can vary, it can be longer or shorter depending on the baggage.

This isnt simply calling up three colleagues. In Jurichs case, they might go through the entire FBI investigation or large parts of it.

It would make sense that Jurich, now 65 years old, might be OK with having Zo on board as "Assistant AD" with specific responsibilities .. initially .. involving working with the HC (whoever that might be) in developing an elite recruiting department and also assisting in working with coaches on player development. He would essentially be in a training mode to become Jurich's replacement at some time in the future. This would enable Zo to grow into the AD role, and supplement his NFL front office experience with legit D1 AD experience. No other role makes any sense to me.
