Obviously, Mario has only been here for a few years, so we don't have a long track record, but I know we've recruited Portal guys who turned Miami down in the past. Some enrolled at UM as transfers, some did not.

The only two that I can remember being reported as Mario just plain passing on when they hit the portal were Cormani and that Antoine Jackson cat that chased his kitty to East Carolina. Mario seems pretty good about not taking recruiting losses personally enough to tell a kid to go **** up a rope later on.

MM isn’t starting day 1 at A&M…imo

He is not starting LT as a freshman at A&M. They have a JR that could stay another year and 5 star freshman battling for the position this year. He is basically in the same situation at both school

also wasnt it Mario who stressed the importance of at least finishing second in a recruitment with how the portal is wild now?

I am sure some recruits get blacklisted because of how they acted, like if a player straight up lied to his face I cant see him saying its all good, he prob strikes em off the board as a character concern but otherwise he just wants talent.

This site killed Samson for not starting or contributing immediately and had him transferring every few months.

I dont think this kid feels he’s as ready as Cantwell is or Sisi was to step in as freshmen and knows he’ll be compared to both from day 1.

When you let that little bit of fear of not living up to expectations or to those before you creep into and live in the back of your brain, it becomes easier and easier to talk yourself into believing that it’s better to leave home to where you feel the pressure is less. Whether it’s true or not.

This kid isn’t ready to start day 1.

Way am reading it, the person who posted 8&4 was refferring to Texas A&M, cuz thats their nickname. The person who read it and responded with the question, i think read it as they were saying, we were gonna go 8&4, which is why they were confused. I could be wrong but i think that's why the confusion was there.
