I dont know the inside outs of all of this but its been mentioned on here the last cycle and how while flips arent dead, they will be harder and harder to come by unless there are more rule changes. Kids are locking in and signing NIL deals for real deal money. This is now a business decision, why mess things up? This is a reason these kids are now committing earlier and earlier. ****, they arent even waiting til the summer when a decade ago all of them would wait til the last second. So schools are opening up war chests and money is flowing out, war chests that do in fact have limitations. Sure a Matthews will have offers til the very end but this idea that his offer will just get stronger is something I dont believe will be the case.

Lol if you think there is no concern about the optics of this recruitment with this staff you’re kidding yourself. They absolutely deal in optics. It’s a large part of this recruiting staffs core belief.

I think the staff cares significantly more about landing players that will help us win than “optics.” I’m not on the staff though, so maybe I’m wrong.

“Optics,” much like gas lighting, has become so overused that it’s become like a dog whistle to me.

You what’s worse than the “optics” of losing the local 5 star kid? The optics of losing games.

I know yall give the kid **** but this is literally what's going on. 2 schools are recruiting the **** out of him and he's not really sure where he wants to go. He also doesn't need to make a decision right now, NSD is 7 months away, so around and around we go.

I agree 👍 because I know we will have a better record and another playoff run 🏃‍♀️ and Texas a&m will be chasing the cows 🐄 for Mike elko last supper with there 8-4 record.

You do know, the recruiting staff is different than the coaching staff, right? Like, DSniff, Frank the Tank, Joe Brown, Mike Rumph, Stephen Field, Tia and Mackenzie, Roland Smith along with others not to mention the creative and graphic design departments.
