Here's what I know on Mark Matthews...

I’ve said it once in here and I’ll say it again. I’ll believe this kid is going to Texas A&M when I see him sign his NLI there. This dude is the best OL in the country from our backyard and our coach is Mario Cristobal. This kid will be a cane. There’s just no scenario where it makes any kind of sense for him to go elsewhere.

no scenario? are you sure?

Don’t believe the hype. We paying for the visit on account of the optics. aTm gone pay more in the end.
That Ole Miss noise was a bit of a red flag that the ATM money maybe wasn't where they think it needs to be. Even with all of the ATM smoke, it always kind of felt like he wasn't a massive priority for him. A priority to be sure, but one they'll be okay without getting. Like no doubt they'll pay top dollar for him, but they'll fold if they feel it gets too uncomfortable.

Never gonna have someone tell me kids don’t go somewhere strictly because SEC ever again.

Never gonna have someone tell me kids don’t go somewhere strictly because SEC ever again.
Its gonna take more than a couple of years to take away that luster... The SEC cheated for sure but they were the outright premier conference of the CFB for almost 2 decades.
That luster isn’t going anywhere as long as ESPN is running things every Saturday morning and Tuesday evening.

That’s just not true, it benefits for the following reasons.

1) you start getting paid early. Sure you are getting broken off for visits but this was you start getting the real money fast.
2) all the money is finite but demand keeps going up. Even an 8-4 will run out of money in a given cycle.

Look there is a reason why these kids are deciding sooner rather than later the past few cycles.
Didn’t realize you get paid once you verbally commit. Is that true? I thought the checks start when you hand in the LOI.
And if you do get the money early, do you have to return it if you later decide to go to another school?
