That's premature...

Nobody has signed on the dotted line for any team, to simply give up on recruiting a 2021 QB in MAY before a single snap has been played or any visits taken place would be dumb.
Who out of our offers are actual legit options? Davis? He might be going to Auburn and then a bunch of underrated guys will show up as the cycle goes on but you never know there.

Grab him and focus on 2022 qbs. We are almost fresh out of options for 2021 in regards to high school guys.

The problem is that unless he wants to wait until January next year to enroll, if we give him a scholarship that means we can't give any more scholarships for the upcoming season. So that means no Willie Moise, the OT from Houston, Isaiah Walker, or any other recruits/transfers we may be considering. So is he more valuable than all of those others (assuming those others would want to come to Miami)?

Everybody is an option until they sign with their respective school.

NSD is in December, it's MAY, not November, MAY. We haven't played any games & haven't been allowed to have any in person contact or visits with any prospects, why would you throw away a chance to get a good QB 7 months in advanced?

Let's say we have a good season & King balls out, you don't think we can't get kids down here for a visit & get a flip after they see with their own eyes what Lashlee's offense will look like?

Again it's MAY, we have plenty of time to get a QB, it's premature to jump the gun this early & scrap QB recruiting.

Respect. I’m on board with what you are saying. I just don’t want to get screwed here especially with King and possibly Martell and Perry leaving after this year. Then you have 2 qbs.

Btw this kid would be great for the locker room. Even if he’s average he won’t have an ego and he’ll probably be one of the hardest workers on the team. I think that’s a plus between an amateur pornstar QB with no accuracy and another one that comes and goes as he pleases.

He is a transfer QB. That means he wants to play. How do you know he'd be good for the locker room, particularly next year? He's not a guaranteed starter here. And the only real connection I've seen for him is Miami is close to his brother's new job.

Did you not see the brother? You don’t think that Dad holds him to the very same standards?

Btw he can want to play all he wants but he’s still going to have to beat out TVD for the job. If Lashlee made Shane Buechele a 34 TD guy and a near 4,000 yard passer then running his offense with TVD or Taulia is going to produce a ton of results.

What I got from this is:

1. You know nothing about the kid and you are trying to make assumptions based on his brother.
2. You have faith in Lashlee. That has nothing to do with this kid, in the locker room, in 2 years.

Yeaaaa, this ends here. I’m not gonna sit here and go back and forth with some idiot that can’t tell he comes from a hardworking, strong family and putting him with a proven coach might be a good idea.

Taulia would come in with his own private quarterback coach, trainer, nutritionist, and valet all paid for by the #5 pick in last year's draft.

Taulia is what some of you envisioned Jarren Williams would be (didn't quite pan out that way) Doesn't really throw the deep ball, but is **** great with the short and intermediate throws. He would do well in in Lashlee's system.

I don't see the downside in bringing him in, but I don't really see the upside either, especially if we can bring in some of these 2021 guys we're after.

He can definitely be a hard worker. Reports were also that he was openly talking about transferring in the middle of the season in the locker room. The family seems like a football family. I’ll trust the staff on what they decide but I’m not losing any sleep over this kid at all.
