He’s toast. His high profile attorney will do a complete nice guy image routine. This is a complete tragedy. A wasted future an innocent death and a lot of horror for many years to come for all family’s. This isn’t the first or the last time this will happen. Vegas has been experiencing this for a very long time. The out cry will be immense considering the speed at impact and the way the girl died. He’s lucky to be on house arrest. If they find out he was over served at a club or casino that opens another can of worms. Vegas put a minor away for a similar offense. Kept the crashed car and paraded it around to all the high schools and had that minor speak to the students. They’ve already set examples in Vegas. This is another young dumb decision that has changed lives forever. Shame.

That attorney has an uphill battle for sure
 
I have been 150+ on an empty interstate in the middle of the night but in a **** residential area. Just stupid. He will be in jail a long time. No need in even going to trial the way the lady died. Getting roasted alive he better take what ever deal he can possibly get

All of this wishful thinking and clamoring for the worse possible outcome for Ruggs. Rest In Peace to the young lady and condolences to her family. My father was killed by a drunk driver while giving a coworker and her two young nieces a ride home from a evening weekday church service. The young lady was a recent hire out of law school at his firm and died instantly. I was 11 years old with 4 other siblings all at home alone (had older siblings: 20, 17, 15, 13 at home at that time) as my mother had remarried and lived in Detroit. He was my best friend. He left and never came back. It pains me till this day, 31 years later.

The driver was by all accounts a scum bag in all facets of his life and I’m not making that up or exaggerating. Henry Ruggs should receive leniency if his character and record speaks of a good young man who made a mistake. This is coming from a person who has never ever drank any form of alcohol, despises when people are drunk and loss his best friend, family’s breadwinner and father to the abuse of it.

I’m not watching that video.

There's literally no reason at all to be going 150+.....ever.....on any road. Empty or not, that could've been tragic for you.
 
Same dudes who prejudged and wanted the worse for Avantae Williams a couple months ago. Go figure. If it was TVD they’d be writing letters to the judge.

Regardless of my feelings on all this, that’s one heck of a perspective to share. Appreciate your thoughts.

I don’t know what car you were driving to be able to reliably go 150. And I’m sure you already know this, but a bad bump, an obstacle on the road, or a blowout, and you could be easily dead at that speed. Not before probably going airborne.

I’m not judging though. I sometimes speed myself and I’ve gotten up around 100, shame on me though. Nothing to brag or be proud of. It’s hard not to though, especially on the turnpike, you’ll get a group of cars going 80 to 90 and I’ll just settle in at that speed, which is stupid.

The laws of physics are undefeated though. Force equals mass times acceleration. It’s important to remember that the force of a collision increases exponentially with increasing speed.

People don’t realize the tremendous forces that are applied in even a 40 mile an hour crash.
 
I feel terrible for all involved, including Ruggs. But actions have consequences and there is no getting around the bad decisions and results of what occurred because of them.
