Henry Ruggs

Call it like it is, he’s fūcked.

There’s a whole lotta difference between a 0.06 and 0.16, and driving 60 in a 35 versus driving over 150 in a 55.

I’ve done stupid shlt when I was younger that I regretted, but even at my most stupidest, I had the sense not to do this. You have to make a conscious decision to drive that fast, 150 is no fūcking joke, and 0.16 has to be like 4-5 drinks, and like everyone’s been saying, if you don’t wnat to slum it and do an Uber like I do, you can get a fancy limo to drive you around with that kind of money

well think about this -- depending on how long and much hes been drinking, that 0.16 could've at least an hour or more after his last drink.

People keep mentioning uber and lyft, but taxis have always existed.
it was harder in Miami esp to get a taxi back in the day bc not everyone carries cash and they don't have CC machines like they do in NYC and if they did, they claimed it didn't work. also, I remember on some nights like NYE, you couldn't call a cab bc they'd be so busy. that happens with Uber/lYft for big events, but at least you can still pay for it and get a ride if you happen to catch one. hes in Vegas. he could hit up a strip club for a free ride lol.

Henry better hope that 4.2 hold up on the yard don't drop the soap youngblood.

Whether the NFL has a ride service or not is unfortunately irrelevant.

He elected to drive not merely as a means to get home, but to satisfy his god complex and flex on the girl he had in his car.

We’ve all done stupid ****, but there’s levels to it and this is a VERY hard one to have sympathy for.

Hope he gets comfy in prison.

156 mph? Crazy to even manufacture a car for the general public capable of going that fast. Makes no sense & then get a fool behind the wheel.
Aren't there some stretches of roads out west with no speed limit? Or maybe they are making Corvettes with German buyers and the Autobahn in mind.

Yep several states including parts of Nevada have no speed limit in certain areas…if I remember right unless it has changed once you get out of the city limits of Las Vegas there aren’t any limits..

Bauman said Ruggs was uncooperative with police and medical workers, and his blood alcohol level taken within the required two hours after the crash was 0.161%. Police said previously in a statement that Ruggs "showed signs of impairment."

"This is particularly tragic," the prosecutor told the judge. He said that since 2013, the NFL Players Association has contracted with rideshare services to provide free transportation to members "specifically to prevent tragedies such as this."

Probation is not an option in Nevada for a conviction on a charge of DUI causing death or DUI causing substantial bodily injury. Both carry a possible sentence of two to 20 years in state prison. Added to a possible one to six years for reckless driving, Bauman told Bonaventure that Ruggs could face up to 46 years behind bars if convicted.

Tragic. Incomprehensible. Feel awful for the family of the innocent victim. A young life over in the blink of an eye...156 mph though? Honestly a miracle they arent all dead...
